Giro E2 Helmet - 2009

Cross-country riders, racers, and cyclo-crossers love the aggressive look and airy feel of the Giro E2 Helmet. Giro took the razor-sharp design of their competition road helmets and converted it to match the dark, dirty side where we like to play. MTB-specific features include an adjustable P.O.V. visor for glare reduction, and enhanced rear coverage for off-road crashes.

Bottom Line: Don't wear a road helmet when there's no road around—rock the Giro E2 instead.

saved my noggin

By:

after recently riding the three fingers of death in st. george, i took a reall hard fall on the acid drops. i got up and took a breath to determine what was hurting. my head didn't hurt so i figured i didn't hit it. after taking off the e2 i realized the entire side was caved in. I broke the helmet clean through in five spots without a headache. definitely going with giro from now on. buy this helmet. (before the crash it was amazing as well. well vented and sat well)

This is a great helmet - really comfy, lightweight, and vents well. You hardly notice it's there. For racing and training, it's awesome.

Giro E2 Helmet

Great helmet! Well venting and comfort and the small was a perfect fit for my small 21" head size, 6 7/8 hat size. The removable visor is great for knocking the glare off! Hope the visor holds up, did notice a rattling sound when I hit some bumps.

Hope this helps.

It is definitely red. Check out this link. I learned the hard way to double check the color of things here at Backcountry...http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/HE302A02-Giro+E2+Helmet+08.aspx?sc=FRGL

Awesome helmet!

This helmet has protected me through, and it is as awesome as it gets. Jersey summers are hot and sticky but this keeps my head nice and cool. Totally adjustable and I hardly notice it. Awesome.

My purchase was a christmas gift for my son. According to him, it is a perfect fit and very good ventilation. I am grateful for that because he does alot of biking, not only for pleasure but for work. He also teaches biking classes for all ages, which includes proper protection dress for safety in biking.

I really like Giro helmets, I already have the Atmos for road biking and wanted a well vented helmet for the mountain. I'm really pleased with it.

What helmet?

This helmet has tons of vents so your head never overheats. I haven't had a serious crash to actually test it but I'm comfortable putting my head in Giros hands!
