Gerber Multi-Plier 400 Compact Sport-Black - 2007

The Gerber Multi-Plier 400 Compact Sport is a compact toolbox that fits in the palm of your hand. This little wonder features stainless steel hardware and Gerber's patented one hand opening plier jaws that open with a flick of the wrist. The Gerber Multi-Plier 400 Compact Sport includes: large and small screwdrivers, crosspoint screwdriver, drop point knife blade, can opener, bottle opener/medium screwdriver, and a pair of Fiskars Scissors that cut through everything from the common (string) to ridiculous (metal offshore fishing wire.) All the Compact Sport's components use Gerber's SAF-T PLUS locking system to stay where you put them so you can concentrate on the job instead of your fingers.

Bottom Line: Much more portable than your toolshed.

Working full time on professionally crewed sailing race boats- everyone has a 'tool'. And the constant question is leatherman, or gerber? Having smaller hands than the average rugby-sized sailor, I was worried about function, but the compact 400 has been perfect with every flick of the wrist, each time i open it. And so far- no rust. A huge deal in the industry. A+
