Gerber L.S.T. Knife

More than 25 years ago Gerber introduced the world to high tech knives with the Gerber L.S.T Knife. The L.S.T. fits in your pocket, weighs a mere 1.2 ounces, and has a durable, easy-to-grip handle. In fact, Gerber was the first to use an all-synthetic handle. By combining the impact resistance and incredible strength-to-weight ratio of reinforced nylon with the reliability of a stainless steel blade, Gerber ushered in the first of many knife advancements. Fold the knife blade closed to stash it in your pocket—you'll barely know it's there.

Bottom Line: The lightweight Gerber L.S.T. Knife is a trusted classic to take into the backcountry with you.

Light & Sharp

By:
November 19, 2007

At barely over an ounce & very sharp, the Gerber L.S.T. is a good choice for a second or extra knife. I keep mine in my emergency kit & use it from time to time. Great to use as a paring knife. Nice handle.

Great for what it is

By:
September 27, 2009

What it is: an ultra-light, shi#tty knife that you won't care about, don't mind losing or destroying, and will primarily be used for cutting cheese.

And it's great. Cuts cheese like a charm, doesn't rust, hasn't broken.

FYI, all lockbacks work the same way. This is a good, inexpensive, lightweight knife.

I love this little Knife

By:
November 28, 2008

This little guy has been my back up blade for years! I tied a small lanyard with a monkey fist in the lanyard hole. The knife slips up the sleeve of my wetsuit and stays there all day paddling, kite boarding, etc. The steel is incredible- I spent some time with a DMS diamond stone and the little guy will shave the thick hair on my legs (Too much information?).

Good Knife

By:
August 27, 2007

This is my third Gerber LST knife. I like the size, weight, and thinness especially. I broke the other two knives but it was because of misuse on my part - using it as a pry bar. One had a serrated section toward the handle which I found very useful. My favorite pocket knife.
