Gerber Gator Combo Axe II w/ Saw

The Gerber Combo Axe II with Saw features an axe with a hollow handle into which a saw fits. Gerber made the axe handle out of nearly indestructible glass-filled nylon, so it's lightweight and durable. This handle is long for improved striking force and has a textured rubber coating to keep your hands glued to it for safe chopping. I purchased this set to include in my emergency pack. You know, in case I encounter a natural disaster and have to flee quickly. I figured this combo would be adequate to fend off fallen trees, competitive badgers, and incompetent FEMA employees. The hardware looks up to all three tasks.

Does the saw bounce around inside the handle when you are chopping wood with the axe? I read that magnets hold the saw in place, but I'm curious how secure the saw is when the axe is actually being used.
