Garmont designed the Men’s Argon Alpine Touring Boot for backcountry skiers who run big skis and demand top-notch downhill performance in a touring-specific boot. The Argon’s stiff multi-injected, overlapping Pebax shell provides enough beef to drive fat skis inbounds or out, while remaining light enough for extended touring. Switch to walk mode for the skin up, then engage the 23.5-degree forward lean, crank down all four buckles, and cinch the power strap for as technical a descent as you can find. what is the 'flex index' of these. and the sole length of the 27 and 27.5??

Boot sole length is 315mm on both and flex index is listed as "AT120" like Adrenalin or Radium.

How do these newer overlap designs size compared to the adrenalin and other such tongue designs by garmont?

flex definitely has a more bottomless feel in the overlap boots than on tongue design like adrenalin. stiffness wise, argon and adrenalin are the same. sizing should be the same, but the internal volume is a little different. argon is not as boxy and fits more precise in the forefoot.

It is 29.0 and 29.5 that are the exact same shell size. The liner is different sizes, but once you thermo form it doesn't matter much. Scarpa is the half size adn the full size UP.
