I got my first fairshare mug as a door prize and now have a few of them as they work so well. I like how the lid screws on tightly (can carry stuff securely in it) and how much it holds. I wrapped mine in foam to insulate it.

This mug is awesome. It's huge, sometimes huge enough that you get more food than you want without realizing it. Need to wash it out? Slosh a little boiling water in it, crank the lid down, shake like crazy, and dump it. Need to keep leftovers for later? Just leave them in the bowl. It's a whole quart, so they'll fit. Need to carry lunch to the crag? This will fit two bagel sandwiches stacked on top of each other snugly enough where they won't jostle around and keep them from getting banged up at the same time. Plus you can clip it to the outside of your pack since it's pretty much bombproof and has a carabiner clip. I had it clipped to a 65 pound pack, dropped it right on it accidentally, and the handle wasn't even cracked. Now theoretically, it releases BPA, but seriously? First of all, it's not significant quantities, and second, you'd have to have hot water in it for a long time. Rank the list of things most likely to kill you with cancer, Lexan will be damn near the bottom. That's my theory, anyway. The mug is great, go for it.

These are fun to take along on trips. Having a larger container reduces spills and makes sharing a cup of hot chocolate easier for two. I like the measuring marks on the side. They are bulky to pack, and so I usually stick our fishing reels inside to justify taking up so much room in the pack. They insulate pretty well and the added lid comes in handy for keeping food warm while you are still cooking, although it is harder to get it really, really tight. I wish the handle did not stick out so far, though. This is not a good ultra-light option, but a pretty good design for eating soup, oatmeal, or hot cocoa, sort of like a compromise between a mug and a bowl.

This cup can handle boiling water and even be used to shake(not stir) your cocoa or dehydrated food. Large enough to share. No probs wtih lead leakage as long as you thread it right! This, a spoon, and the MSR reactor stove is all I take!

This is big enough to hydrate an entire package of powered mashed potatos.

works great, and is super strong. Can't beat the price either.

The Fairshare Mug does a great job with the screw top. The handle is nice but it is pretty bulky, I am tempted to cut mine off but I know when I do I will realize that I like it. Fills with a fair amount of food, enough to fill me up and not over eating. Would buy another one if I needed it.

not what i expected...really big and a cover that cannot be used as a sip cup...it will stay in my baking drawer at home, nice measuring cup

I purchased four of these for my sons and I. After seeing they are made from Lexan that is a number 7. There is concern that this when used with hot beverages and foods. This is felt to release carcinogens. I returned these and will obtain some titanium replacements. Many of the manufacturers are voluntarily removing the from their products.
