GSI Stainless 18oz cup

Perfect fit over a standard 1 liter water bottle, very heavy duty. You get a lot of cup for the money. The thing takes up no room if stored over your water bottle.

Great mug -- big, but packs small

By:

This is a great mug. It's large, but because the handles fold and because it fits snugly around a standard 1-L Nalgene water bottle, it doesn't seem to take up any space at all in my pack. I thought the handles might be a little uncomfortable to hold, but I didn't find it to be that way at all.

The first two guys are giving opinions. this cup is perfectly safe to use in a fire. Just make sure its a small fire otherwise you may need gloves or a pot lifter to remove it.

I have one of these cups on my stovetop and I use it to boil water everyday.

I'm with BA. The handles are gonna get hot, but there's no reason it wont work.

I have to disagree. Any non-coated, food-grade stainless steel is fine to use over an open flame.

It works well large enough to boil water. But not alot of water. The handles stay cool and accesable. Since I used it more of a coffe mug while backpacking would have prefered a insulated mug. But then you could not cook with it. Over all a nice cup.

GSI Outdoor Glacier Bottle Cup/Pot - 18fl oz.

Very sturdy little pot...maybe a little heavy...but I can live with it....it's a high quality product! I also discovered that it's a perfect replacement for the aluminum(crap) pot that comes standard on the Svea 123 stove, fits it like a glove.

These do not fit on the most common nalgene bottle made in america. Yes they are sturdy but they do not nest.

The one I bought fits fine over a standard 1-L nalgene bottle so the one you have is probably an odd size bottle.
