Gregory Denali Pro Backpack - 6450 cu in - 2007

With a reputation for durability, quality, and unparalleled load support, it's obvious why the Denali Pro is used on serious expeditions worldwide. The Denali Pro features all of Gregory's cutting edge technology including their Auto Cant shoulder harness system that automatically rotates to mirror your shoulder slope and neck width. In addition, the waistbelt adjusts to three different angles to mirror your hip-to-waist angle, providing optimum weight distribution. Constructed with only the most durable materials in the world, the result is superb carrying comfort, and a pack (and back!) that will last through your golden years. Access all of your gear quickly and easily from the top, front, or bottom. The top pocket/lid converts into a lumbar pack, and side pockets have ski tail pass-throughs. Gear loops and full compression straps abound. The Denali Pro is capable of carrying everything you need for a month on the mountain, and yet is versatile enough to use on the summit day. It is quite possibly the finest expedition pack ever made, and for that reason distinguishes itself as one of our best-sellers. We love it!

Bottom Line: Gregory's flagship expedition pack that has withstood the test of time.

Superb Heavy Load Hauler

By:
February 9, 2006

I have used this pack for several years on week long trips in Colorado and New Mexico. I am not an ultra-light-type and I like to take along some creature comforts and this pack has plenty of room to take what anyone might need. It is extremely comfortable with 55+ lbs and the suspension system allows for endless adjustability that helps distribute the load as needed. The materials used to construct this pack are absolutely bombproof, as this pack has stood up to years of hard use and abuse. For a weekend trip this pack might be a bit much, but for anyone considering 5 days or longer on the trail, this is as good as it gets.

Backpack Supreme

By:
February 8, 2006

I bought this backpack some time ago and feel very comfortable with every aspect of it. Its durability and versatility in terms of compression and suspension are of remarkable quality.
I recommend this backpack to everyone that goes on tours of three days or more. The only drawback is that its not waterproof, but then again no backpack is!

Made it through the Heat and Cold

By:
June 13, 2005

An extremely comfortable pack, easily packed and tightened with sore hands, withstood my travels through South Sudan's deserts, Liberian and Cote D'Ivoirian jungles, and a variety of high Swiss and U.S. peaks. Only downsides: I wish it was able to expand to about 7200cu in and the separation panel between the upper and lower sections was easier to adjust.

Why I recomment the Gregory Denali Pro

By:
September 2, 2004

This pack gave me the ability to alter the configuration of the pack to the changing needs as I climbed mountains and transported gear at both Arcadia Park in Maine and in the Adirondack Mountains in New York State.

The pack carries heavy loads comfortably and adjusts to the load distribution as well as trail conditions (weather climbing or on flat terrain).

Its capacity and storage configuration allowed me to rationally distribute gear in a manner that was convenient to access.

The pack's construction and durability did not fail me on either trip.

Comfort under heavy loads, Durability and access made for a very good trail and climbing experience.
