I originally bought one of these skirts, then bought the other 3 colors. I said before this skirt is breathable and non restrictive, but I'd like to add it's also hardy. I've worn this skirt backpacking where I'm hiking through thick brush, sitting on whatever the ground provides and have had my dog with her not so trim nails jump up and drag on this skirt, and it has held up beautifully. Functional, cute and holds up well.

This is such a light skirt, that is extremely functional as well. I use this skirt to backpack. It does not ride up, and the shorts underneath and extremely comfortable and breathable. I like to wear the skirt for flexibility. It is not restrictive at all. I have now bought all 3 colors.

I love this skirt. In fact this is my 2nd one. The under-short is super comfy and the length is perfect. I use this mostly for golfing but it's perfect for hiking or just hanging out. Not sure it would be great for running though.

I was a huge skeptic when it came to running skirts. I thought this was just a ploy to appeal to sporty soccer moms. But, after trying out this skirt I get it. If I ever run another marathon, I won't be without this. The ultralight lining feels great next to your skin without chafing. The outer skirt layer is extraordinarily lightweight, so you feel like you're running in next to nothing! The waist wasn't too tight, like some running shorts feel (I think this actually runs a little large).

The Calamity Jane is the best skort I have worn. It is functional - perfect length, dries quickly, leg grippers on undershort are loose but hold, waist is comfortable. And the breathability is superb. It is fuctional to run/hike in but looks great for any activities on the town afterwards. I own three and wear them all the time!

This skort is great for trail running or just hanging around town. It's a bit longer than the prAna Sugar Skort, so if that's what you'd like, this is the skort for you. The skirt fabric is cool and very lightweight. The leg grippers are comfy but can get hot on a warm day. I highly recommend this skort.
