The Giro Fuse helmet is a lightweight, high-performance helmet for riders who can't sacrifice peripheral vision. Thermostat adjustable venting lets you customize your ventilation on the fly, without removing your helmet. A wide-angle cut creates a gapless fit with goggles, and doesn't compromise peripheral vision. That's handy when you're spotting landings, and hauling through the trees. In-mold construction fuses two Hardbody shells to the EPS liner (hence the name) for the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. Floating big spins in deep backcountry powder, carving lines down faces that don't even have names yet, the Fuse keeps your head in the game. The Fuse is TuneUps compatible. –Vendor
Very good helmet. I use it for inline skating in summer and skiing in winter. Because of the venting it's cool for summer and the detachable ear piece and detachable plugs in the helmet cavity means that the helmet is suitable for warm weather activities. Recommend product, only downside is the price but you get what you pay for and its your only head!
I like this helmet a lot, but have two complaints; One is that Giro needs to have a more consistent sizing system. I'm a M in the Omen, XL in the Fuse and 9 and L in the G10. Thus making it hard to order their helmets online without going to a store first and trying each model, or ordering a bunch and sending them back. And second, the helmet is huge. I feel like a have a giant mushroom on my head. If you want a helmet to look cool, you may want to look elsewhere.
Helmet arrived on time as advertised. Fit had previously been tested, so that was not an issue. The helmet was warm enough for near 0F temperatures in 30 to 40-mph winds without a liner (did put up parka hood and wear a fleece neck-gaiter). No problem with Oakley goggles. Helmet is light enough as to be nearly unnoticeable. While I did not try using the vents, my partner did and found them effective. Altogether a first rate experience.
I really like this helmet. It's light, but still manages to keep me warm, but it lets me cool down quickly by opening the vents. You can get even more ventilation by removing the plugs. Be careful though, I lost one on my first day without even noticing. Giro's customer service is sending me one without any questions asked.
Giro Fuse is greatmy first ski helmet. It is very lightweight, comfortable, and keeps you warm on the cold/windy days but the vents open and let in the air to keep you cool on the warm spring skiing days. My only complaint is if you have long hair and wear it in a ponytail, the bottom of the helmet presses against the pony tail at the base of your neckby the end of the day, its really sore.
Early this winter I purchased the Giro Fuse helmet figuring it was time for something new. Little did I realize what a pleasant change it would be. In New England we had some very cold and windy ski days. Not that this is a surprise but the ability of this helmet to accommodate an extra skull cap and remain comfy was perfect! So after a cold winter came an incredible spring! Once again the Fuse with its adjustable vents and removal ear skirt (it's a kilt!) worked to keep my noggin just the right temperature. Life is well when you are wearing a Giro Fuse between its ability to regulate temperature and remain low profile exceeded my expectations!
I have been through quite a few helmets and found the Fuse to be one of the most comfortable and versatile. The venting is quick and easy to operate and works very well. The helmet also keeps you fairly warm when necessary, but I would suggest getting a liner for temps in the single digits and below.
The helmet is light and highly protective, it saved me a couple of times from the trees at The Canyons and Brighton. They need to make the helmet more low profile, and not so dark helmet. It has good ventilation for those backcountry hikes.
Very happy with the Giro Fuse Helmet. I wasn't sure if the helmet was the right fit but I talked to the customer service and they had all the right answers to assure me that I had made the right purchase. Overall, very pleased and would recommend this site.
The only thing I regret is NOT buying this helmet earlier! It's so comfy, light and with the Giro Audio attachment installed I do not have to take this of the entire day... and I don't want to.
