You’re huffing heavy skis up the hill so you can rip big, sweet lines on the way down. Ditch the weight and switch to the G3 Saint Skis. G3 made these fat skis with light material that flexes longitudinally and keeps torsional stiffness so you can swiftly skin up and devour big-descents. I am interested in this ski but want it for its weight. You list the ski at 7 pounds, but G3 lists it at 7.5 pounds. Do you guys weigh the skis or where did you get the 7 pounds. Admittedly an anal question, but the last time I bought a "lightweight" ski, it came in almost a pound heavier than advertised. Thanks,

I'm 6'1" 175-180 lbs. What size would you recommend? My local ski store can give me a good deal, but they only have the Saint left in 185. I demoed the Rapid Transit at 185 and liked them on hard pack.Thanks!

If you're an advanced skiier I would recommend the 185 especially if you can get a good deal on them. If you're not advanced then I would say the 177cm. Personally I would go with the 185cm if I were your size, I'm an advanced skiier though and love big skis. They give more stability and float/bust through crud and soft snow better

I got these skis for work this year for ski patroling and touring. I am 5' 11" and have the 185. In snow the turn really well a very fun ski. But i found on groomers you really have to rip on them coming to a fast stop i have been chattered on them. But it is a backcountry ski and for that they are great.

All in all a fun pow ski but watch out for ice and hard conditions.

What is the turning radius of the Saint and the Rapid Transit? I like to ski steep trees and tight chutes. I'm looking for a wide waisted all-mountain ski that performs well in tight quarters, any suggestions?

I demo-ed the Dynafit Manaslu last month. It's 95mm in the waist and has a rockered shovel that helps turn initiation in tight situations. Really great edge grip, light swing weight.

looking for an all around at ski for backcountry only, reasonably light, good in powder but won't fold when conditions firm up. Considering G3Saint or Reverend, Karhu Storm BC, BD Havoc. which is most versatile for Wasatch skiing?

I can vouch for the Reverend's performance. They are great all around skis, wide enough to give you some float in fresh snow, quick edge to edge for tighter spots, and with enough sidecut and stiffness to get you through the harder stuff (I skied them in Vermont and can vouch for that). I've never skied the Saint, but it is basically a lighter version of the Reverend, so if I were you, that's what I would go for...

The G3 saint is an awesome pick for what your looking for. This is based on the Reverend shape but a pound lighter.Holds up well in the area and is nice and light for the hoof uphill. I currently ski a size 177 in this model i am the same weight and Height, we also make a 182 if you want to go a bit longer.

well that depends. i am 5' 8" and would go with the 185. but i like a bigger, more stable ski for high speed descents. if you want something a little quicker to turn you might consider going down a size.
