Garmont G-Rex Tele/Alpine Touring Boot - Kids' - 2007

The Garmont Kids' G-Rex Telemark Boot takes your child out on the trail to join you in your backcountry excursions. This lightweight boot fits any 75mm telemark binding, and the Superlight liner ensures warm days beyond the ropes. And when it's time to leave the skin track and tackle his first lines, the G-Rex Telemark Boot's smooth flex and supportive 2-buckle construction guide him down the freshies.

Bottom Line: The Garmont Kids' G-Rex Telemark Boot introduces your child to a world of fresh lines and peacefully silent skin tracks.

I have a six year old who wants to tele this winter. I have been on tele for the past two years. The g rex boots look great but I have some questions. I have both a backcountry tele set-up (Garmont Excursion boots on alpina skis) and a lift serve tele set-up (Garmont synergy boots on black diamond stigma skis). I discovered that my backcountry boots are too soft to holod my edge while turning my skis on really steep terrain when I turn through tight moguls. This is not the case with my three buckle boots, which are also a stiffer plastic. Do you think my son would be limited to blues and under with the two buckle g rex boots?

We use a homemade leash cord that attaches to the boot via the lower buckle. Simple, cheap, effective.
