Garmont Syner-G Telemark Boot - Mens - 2007

The Garmont Syner-G G-Fit Telemark Boot features Triple-G Multi-Injection technology that provides a synergy of skiing performance with touring comfort. The Syner-G's mid-height cuff is high and sturdy enough to handle big skis comfortably in the backcountry. The Syner-G comes with the G-Fit Mid custom thermo-formable liner that has been improved from past years. The new lace-up system provides better fit and burlier exterior fabrics give better performance and longer life for those using their liners as slippers in yurts and huts. Resort or backcountry, this boot won't disappoint. NOTE: Be sure to check out our sizing chart for optimal fit.

Bottom Line: Synergizes resort and backcountry design into a tight little telemark package.

Ahhhh. . . .

By:

I have never had the Scarpas, but these seem perfect for me, a middle-aged, relaxed cruising intermediate. The fit is very nice, and I have not yet molded the liners, and the flex is reasonable and responsive -- not too stiff and by no means flabby.

The mondo sizing seemed right on. Measure your foot.

I like them.

Excellent boots

By:
February 2, 2005

I just upgraded from my aged Veloces to the new Syner-G's. Generally, I'm very happy with the change: the new boots are both lighter and stiffer. (Although I have to admit that the increase in performance, though noticeable, is not earth-shattering.)

One point I would make, however, is that the advice above to size the boot 1 to 1.5 cm bigger than your foot outline is nonsense. The sizing system for ski boots (mondopoint) can, and does, take this into account. My foot length is 28 cm and I bought a size 28.0 boot which fits perfectly. For a real racing fit, I think I could even have fitted into a 27.5. If I had bought a 28.5 or, God forbid, a 29.0 boot, I would have been extremely unhappy.

Garmont Power

By:
March 8, 2004

Recently skied my Garmont Tele boots for the first time and was very stoked @ the power the boot transfered to the ski. I made the jump from the T-2 a bit outdated and packed out but comfortable, I should say I thought they were comfortable until I tried on the Garmonts. I went through the whole heated liner gig (originally thought it may be a bit of hype)and am impressed with the fit and comfort along with the strength of the boot. One problem however as I am skiing a fairly small sidecut ski my husband has recommened making a change to a fatter ski as the boot will handle a bigger.

Need more muscle than your old T2 boots?

By:
March 29, 2006

I wanted a new boot that allowed me to stay in the backcountry but have some more muscle to it. I found that in the Syner-G boots. I was reluctant to try anything other than the T2X since I loved my old T2's for years, but I liked the flex and boot plastic composition of the Syner-G a bit more than the T2X.

does it all

These boots do an excellent job of driving my Volkl Snow Rangers through powder and crud without being too bulky. They are not too bad for use with climbing skins, and are definitely worth it for the ride down. When it comes to "all arounders," the Syner-G G-fit really nails it. Great boot!

Great fit, drives ski perfectly

By:
February 17, 2005

I am very happy with these boots. I was in the Garas for 3 seasons and seemed to always crank the one bottom buckle really tight. The three buckle set up on these is just right. These boots are soft flex but plenty sturdy to drive my TMXs, see (POWder review on TMXs. I had a local tele shop inform me that these boots would be best suited for All mountain cartridges and I have to agree. I tried them with the World cup cartridges and it was not working for me. I have shorter legs and these fit nicely under my calf. If you really want the Ener-G's and have short legs you might be able to pick up the lower Synergy liner and that should work. If these fit well, buy em on or off sale.. They are bomber..

Garmont Syner-G

By:
March 23, 2005

These are excellent boots. I'm a former racer so I enjoy the support they provide. Mostly a boot bought for Midwest resort skiing, but it holds up to the crud that can sometimes push you around. Great product, thanks Backcountry.com and Garmont.
