Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Telemark Boot - Men's - 2006

The triple-injected Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Men's Telemark boot rocks all-out mountain assaults, on- or off-piste, in the backcountry or at the resort. The Ener-G is very rigid torsionally and gives superb lateral control, with a sweet progressive forward flex that builds energy through your turn. Garmont designed their boots to have very natural flex. The flex zone asymmetrical follows the natural shape and flex of your toes. This asymmetric lasting gives ample room to the big toe for walking and telemarking comfort. It also generates increased inside edge pressure. The new magnesium buckles are extremely light, and the arch buckles have a serrated Icebreaker pin that cuts through icy build-up that accumulates during long tours. The updated G-Fit High custom thermo-formable liner has a burlier exterior fabric for stiffer flex and a lace-up system for better fit. NOTE: Be sure to check out our sizing chart for optimal fit.

Bottom Line: As telemarkers push the limits and redefine their sport, the Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Telemark Boot boot will be there every step of the way.

Purrrrfect.

I've skied the last couple of seasons on Garmont Syner-G's. Always found them to be comfortable and to perform well. However, I was really cranking the top buckle and powerstrap to try to maximize control of my skis.
This season, I thought I'd upgrade to the Ener-G's, and I'm really happy with the decision. If the boots are stiffer, the difference is fairly slight -- I didn't notice it (but I've not tried switching back and forth). The fit of the boot seems identical: my foot is wide and flat, and Garmonts have always worked much better for me than Scarpas. What I really noticed, however, was the extra control of the ski that I got from the fourth buckle and higher cuff -- it is very noticeable. And this with the buckles and strap looser, so the boots are actually more comfortable too!
Best of all, the weight difference is negligible. My brand new Ener-G's (size 27.5) weigh 3760g (pair); my two-year-old Syner-G's weigh 3660g. The Ener-G's are only 2.6% heavier! That's a miniscule price to pay for the improved performance. Suh-weet!

Great boots!

I've had one opportunity to use these boots so far and they are very comfortable to both ski and hike in. I molded the liners myself by warming them up in the oven and following some instructions which I found on telemark tips dot com. For Australians looking at any of the products on this site I just want to say that this is a great place to shop as you can buy gear very cheaply (postage is expensive but overall cost is usually still cheap) and it arrives in less than a week. I've bought things three times now from here and there is no duty or tax to pay on the goods coming into Australia. Good to know!

These boots rock. fantastic to ski in. I had a pair of Energys that I wore out. That I loved so I went with the same thing again.I ski around 100 days a year and for this reason I decided when I did the fitting to not use the toe caps during the process. Not a good idea for the meek the boots where extremely tight but with about 5 days of skiing they finally came around. I not all that fond of the front buckle and it's proximity to the D-ring for the safety strap the D-ring is always in the way when buckling in Other than that don't be afraind to buy a pair and hold on tight they like to rip.
