Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Telemark Boot - Men's - 2005

The triple-injected Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Men's Telemark boot is the weapon of choice for all-out mountain assaults whether you're on- or off-piste, in the backcountry or at the resort. The Ener-G is very rigid torsionally, giving superb lateral control, with a sweet progressive forward flex that builds energy through the turn. Garmont designed their boots to have very natural flex. The flex zone is asymmetrical to follow the natural shape and flex of the metatarsals. This asymmetric lasting gives ample room to the first metatarsal for walking and telemarking comfort; it also generates increased inside edge pressure. The cuffs use a close-fitting overlap design and the cuff buckles have an additional hook that telescopes out to secure the buckle for walking. The Ener-G comes with the G-Fit High custom thermo-formable liner, the highest and stiffest G-Fit, which has a flex panel for touring. The G-Fit liner features a tongue-design that maintains the shell's forward lean, is more responsive to forward pressure, and provides better ankle flex than overlap designs. As telemarkers push the limits and redefine their sport, this boot will be there every step of the way. NOTE: It is not necessary to custom mold these to your feet, but it's recommended for the best possible fit. See your local boot fitter. **SIZING INFORMATION: For a performance fit, choose a full size below your normal shoe size; for a roomier fit, choose a half size below your shoe size. Be sure you check our sizing chart.

Bottom Line: The Garmont Ener-G has the power for all-mountain ripping in this new age of telemark skiing.

super expensive, but sick boots

I just went from T1s (without the heat liner) to this boot and I love it. I just got back from powder cat skiing and it had all the power I needed. I use them all day on backcountry patrol as well. They’re super comfortable, yet powerful.

A Refined Blend

My first pair of Garmont and am really pleased. They offer a great blend of really solid upper with flexible bellows which makes for great control and ease of skiing. A real pleasure in the fit department too!

Ener-G G-fit boots

By:
November 21, 2005

I purchased these boots looking for a high performance telemark boot, and they are exactly what I was looking for. The fit was not the greatest out of the box, but after the thermo-fitting they fit better than any other pair of boots I have ever owned. On snow they perform incredibly well, power transfer to the ski is very efficient due to the stiffness of the boot and the height of the cuff. I would recommend this boot to anyone looking for a performance boot.

Kick it up a notch..

Coming from Crispi CXP's these boots immediately raised my ability level a notch. Well worth the money. I have a medium-width foot and these things feel as good at the end of the day as they do at the beginning. Plenty stiff too. I ski K2 Work Stinks (fatties) and these boots drive them very well.
