G3 Targa Telemark Binding - All Mountain - 2006

The G3 Targa Telemark All Mountain binding is built to last. It's the most durable of G3's bindings. The All Mountain will let you place utmost confidence in your gear. Stainless steel components contribute to the reputation of the most proven, time-tested telemark binding available. The All Mountain features G3's new patent-pending TourThrow heel lever. It increases both downhill performance and touring efficiency. Flip up the lever for the active downhill position; flip down the lever for low-resistance touring. It'll save you energy and save your legs so you can increase your vert. The binding comes with a secret stash of spare parts for emergency use. Fits US men's sizes 4.5-14.0. –Vendor

Bottom Line: One badass binder.

All tele bindings should be compared to these.

Solid tele bindings

Easy to get into, secure platform for your tele boots. It's no surprise that I see these binding more than any other on the slopes.

Good binding at a good price

By:

I like the Targa as a binding, like the price too.

I bought this with a buddy as spares to the Targa bindings we already have. It was only slightly more expensive than buying two of the repair kits and yielded more parts.

She does break

By:
March 18, 2004

I've now broken this binding beyond repair twice. The rivets in the toe piece are blowing out. Maybe I got a bad batch. I ski them hard on and off piste on top of TM 22s and under garmont superGs. This has the potential to be the best binding if G3 would make a rivitless toebox like on the BD 02s and 03s. G3 is great in honoring their warranty though.

G3 Targa

By:

This binding rules, it has a very neutral feel, which after getting used to, has really grown on me. I feel like I can get the skis around just a little quicker. Because of this I do recommend the stiffer springs for resort skiing. I have a kinda old pair of Garmonts and they have gotten a little ripped up from the bindings,my only gripe, although it's probably more of a problem with the boot anyway.

G3's Wasatch Skiers Favorite

By:
January 26, 2004

G3Targa's combination of sturdy construction and even turning pivot point have made it the favorite of all my ski buddies and rippers everywhere. They don't break and leave you hanging in some tree well with your day ruined. I recommend this binding for hard charging freeheelers who ride hard boots and stiff skis. Chixs/Dudes will dig you as strut through the tramline with these bindings on your skis.

killer bindings

By:

These bindings are the goods. I had not skied on them before now, but had heard nothing but good things and it seems all of them are deserved. They’re easy to get into and out of, responsive and generally clean and easy.

G3 Targas

By:
March 11, 2006

The G3s are the BOMB! I am super pleased with their performance, especially the way I ski: 80% off piste and backcountry, 20% pack slope. I can see how you might want the stiffer springs if you spend a lot of time on real hardpack and gnarly steeps.
I am really impressed with the quality of G3 equipment. Thanks!

G3 targa

Not much to say on these. Industry standard. If you need a pair of bindings these are pretty bomber. I Recommend the Race cartridge if you aim for a stiffer, more responsive set-up. As with everything, sometimes they break but its fairly rare. If you crest the 200lb mark you are on your own. The tour throw seems to be a good thing with no real downside.

G3 Targa Review

By:
January 4, 2007

Not a racer, but sometimes I pretend like I am. I've demo some other bindings, and none have matched G3. I learned on these and lived on them for the last 6 seasons. I've taken these in the deeps of Wolf Creek to the steeps of T-ride to the bumps of Jane. Never going back. Great price and quick delivery!

Simple, effective, solid tele binding. Easy to use. Performs well under any condition. Works very well with K2's insert system. Quality for a decent price.
