Full Tilt Konflict Ski Boot - Men's

The Full Tilt Men’s Konflict Ski Boot is a take-no-prisoners tactical mountain assault machine. Bred from the same design as the iconic Flexon Boot (yes, the one pros scoured swaps and garage sales for), the Konflict boasts a cutting-edge three-layer thermoformable Intuition Power Wrap liner. It’s a legend reborn, its time-tested design enhanced with solid technology and the same progressive flex skiers have loved for years.

  • Super firm tongue and Powerwrap liner incorporate a J-Bar ankle hold for powerful internal support
  • High-density cross-linked EVA foam liner is fully custom-moldable, seamless, and highly responsive
  • Active bootboard rubber absorbs high-speed vibrations and the impact force of big landings
  • Cable closures work like shoelaces to apply even pressure across your feet and shins
  • Corrugated tongue and customizable progressive flex work together to eliminate shin-bang and offer just the right feel
  • Military inspired shell graphics show off your secret weapon

Bottom Line: An exceptionally high-performance freeride boot that slays huge lines with stealthy precision—no wonder it’s favored by so many big-mountain legends.

though i wish this was a yes or a no, it's not.
allot goes into a boot fit.
these do run shorter than most boots i fit.
they have a low instep and don't fit a large lower leg that well.
all this said they are great boots if they fit, i wold always recommend an insole.
i would also look at the Dalbello Krypton.

Buy this boot

My cousin is a world cup aerialist and he uses these boots. I decided I would give them a try and wow. I`ve never used a three piece boot before, and am now regretting all my years of uncomfortable boots. The heel latch keeps your foot right in the back of the boot where it`s supposed to be, and despite the relatively stiff flex, these boots are extremely comfortable. They really let you charge hard, without your feet in pain at the bottom of the hill. Overall, amazing. Buy the boot and make sure to get your liner molded.

In the Salomon range, you have the Shogun which is a 110 flex. The Shogun is the little sister of the Ghost, our top of the line Freeride boot which is a 130 flex. Outstanding boot, two buckles with a 98 width which provides great control.

Do you think this boot would also be good in the park. I ski about 75% all mountain and 25% park, and only do medium jumps and boxes. Would it be better to get the konflict or hot dogger??

thanks man, that was a big help.

btw, doesn't the konflict already have a shock absorbing footboard?

I would say that since more time is out of the park, get the Konflict. If it was inverse, as in 75% park/25% all-mountain, then the Hot Dogger. Also, I would recommend getting a softer tongue for park, and possibly a shock absorbing footboard. That way you can have them with your pack in the chalet, and slay all over the hill in the morning, then switch out the tongue, which is super easy, and go throw down in the park. Or find a tongue that is a happy medium so you can do both if you want.

What is the last width on these boots? Are they wide enough for a foot measuring 106MM? I have read that they are narrow, but that the Intuition liner can accommodate a variety of foot widths.

It has a 98mm last, but if you feel like squishing in go for it. The liner will pack out or heat mold to your foot eventually.

Very comfortable once you get the liner heat molded. The boots are extremely light. I have not skied in these boots yet, but I am praying to the snow gods for some white fluffy stuff so I can rock these bad boys out!

Is the number 8 flex around the same as a 110 flex or a 120 flex, or is it even stiffer?

The Firm 8 is in that 110-120 range. Keep in mind flex rating are not a standardized measurement, but are specific to each manufacturer; these should be taken with a grain of salt.

For comparison, the Stiff 10 tongue is compared to a 130 flex index.

A number 8 flex could probably be compared to something quite a bit stiffer than the Nordica 100 flex. 100 is about a 5-6 in the Full Tilt scale.
