Chalk Ball review

By:
October 11, 2004

Bought this along with my black diamond chalk bag, both were fairly good purchases. The ball is a good idea in terms of keeping your chalkbag clean, however, it wastes some chalk in the air every time you use it and you can't get as much chalk on your hands as you can with regular chalk. Plus, I think that mine is already starting to get a little low.

Perfect size

This is the perfect size. I used mine all season and it still wasn't gone the only problem is when it starts running low you have to tear it open to get to the rest of your chalk.

Good for gym use

By:
April 30, 2003

The chalk ball is good for the climbing gym because it releases less chalk into the air. Ideally, this is a good reason to use it outdoors, but getting a good load of chalk is easier from loose chalk.

Alternate uses

I bought a chalk ball for my friend who
is a pretty intense drummer. He needed
something to help his grip when his hands got sweaty during play, and baby-powder just wasnt cutting it. He loves the ball, and is recommending it to all of his percussionist friends.

little lucky chalk sack

I have 3 or 4 of these things used up in my chalk bag with some loose chalk, It is nice to be able to grab on to something rather than just sticking your hand into loose powder, I feel they give better coverage when used with loose chalk. Would like a refillable one.
