Fox Racing integrated a rear stretch panel into the Mid-Ranger Men's Shorts to increase mobility and make you more comfortable when you take your mountain bike out for some sick singletrack. Two cargo pockets provide places to stash your trail map, spoke tool, and other small necessities. The Fox Racing Mid-Ranger Short's light padding keeps your saddle from bruising your backside and doesn't add too much bulk.
Bottom Line: Count on the Fox Racing Mid-Ranger Shorts to help you stay comfortable on your next ride.
Bought these last year but worn for the first time over the weekend. These fit great and are much better than the regular athletic shorts I had been wearing. Really love the inner liner and light padding. The inner liner does a great job keeping the shorts from bunching. The padding is well shaped, virtually unnoticeable while wearing and definitely improves seat comfort.
Been wearing regular shorts, got these and never been so happy. They're comfortable, keep you cool and after about a dozen washings show no sign of wear and tear. I plan on a second pair. Why did I wait so long?
I have used these shorts for about three years and they have treated me pretty well. The pockets don't feel very secure so I haven't used them to store anything I would care about losing. I have gone down more than a few times with these on and they have stood up to all of the abuse with no rips or tears. It would be nice it the liner was removable and if they were just a little bit longer. They can feel a little restricting at time but no to the point where they're uncomfortable.
I'll admit, I got these shorts because I have never been let down by Fox Racing, the price was right and I liked the Ash color. When the shorts came, I was very impressed, as they were better than I even hoped they would be. The material is nice and light without feeling or being fragile - no problem in 90F... and when I took my first big digger, they showed no signs of damage at all. The fit is true to size around the waist, and the cut is generous; there's plenty of room for movement freeriding, yet they won't get in your way while banging out a long xc ride. Plenty of pockets for iPod, Wallet, Etc. Comfortable enough to wear around long after the ride has finished. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a do-it-all bike short.
This doesn't haven't all of the bells and whistles of a more expensive short but has a nice light Chamois Pad and a durable construction. Great short if you don't want to spend a ton.
I love these shorts! They look great (I would not be caught wearing those skin-tight spandex shorts), have nice padding in the seat (but not too much), are non-restrictive and have two layers (inner layer with padding and support, and a roomy outer layer with elastic waistband and pockets). Also, they are not cotton so they have wicking properties and dry fast if you hit water on your ride. I will definitely buy a second pair.
I've got nothing to base these on compared to other bike shorts, but the padding is good enough that it takes the edge off... i'd imagine it would be like what nicorrete does for smokers. they don't stick out too much either, for the vanity minded folks, which means your @ss doesn't look enormous. very simple, durable and functional. definitely worth the purchase.
I had a jersey from Fox and loved it so I thought I'd give these shorts a try. Wow! These are the best I own now! Roomy, very comfortable, very nice fit and durable. Plus, they look great (so says my wife). I will be getting more of these and, by the way, this site gets kudos, too.
These shorts take a beating. I have had my first pair forever and just finally put my foot through the chami while putting them on. Hopefully this next pair lasts just as long. Tit is great and they seem to have more pockets than my old pair.
