Great Beginner Shoe

I bought this shoe because of the price and found a great quality product. I have narrow feet and had to trim the straps a bit but they had enough adjustment to allow for it. The rubber is great and I've climbed indoor, bouldered and some trad in these. They do stretch so get 'em a bit tight and they'll break in. I will be buying another pair for gym climbing but I would like a more aggresive shoe for bouldering, now that I'm better.

Had my son at the rock gym today and told him if he cleared a 5-5 on top rope I'd get him some shoes. 1 panel short!
He had on 5-10's size 7.5.. Should I go for something in a size 8 to allow growth? Next size up from a 7 on these is an 8.5.. To much?

i would think so you dont want a full size bigger on climbing shoes but it depends on how much he climbs and how fast his feet are growing. Does he climb everyday? get shoes that fit. Does he climb once a month and in 3 months his feet will be a 8.5 then get the 8.5. you want climbing shoes to be tight and responsive.

These are my first pair of climbing shoes and from what I can tell they will be great in the gym. The upper is real soft leather, but the sole and toebox area are stiff and sticky. I ordered 1/2 size down and found they were more comfortable than the Mad Rock Phoenix.
