Fischer RCS Skating - Cold - 2006

The ski with the most wins in modern Nordic racing, the Fischer RCS Skating Plus gets even lighter and faster. Fischer's high-graphite base is designed to glide like nobody's business over frigid snow when the temperature drops below 28F. For the RCS Skating Plus, Fischer combines the most advanced base materials available with their diamond-tuned stone grind and World Cup shape. Fischer's Skating Plus system maximizes the under-foot edge's contact with the snow, where your power is used most efficiently. Key tweaks in the RCS's weight profile reduce the oscillating wobble that aggressive high speed skating causes so you can go harder and faster stably. Speed Tip and Speed Tail construction removes unnecessary material in tip and tail, which dramatically reduces the swing weight of the ski and facilitates quick turns and maneuvers. Carbon fiber strips along the top and bottom and Aircore construction make the RCS super light without sacrificing stiffness, so you'll get the most out of every push.

RCS Skate ski

Love this ski! I bought the RCS Skating - Cold (medium). I started skate skiing this winter and thoroughly enjoy it.This ski works is challenging enough that I won't outgrow it by next season while not being too stiff that I'm completely out of my comfort zone. It's a great ski for those that experience wide ranges of winter weather.
