The 4FRNT TNK Ski is all about the park and pipe. If you've got the skills, this ski will take you to the podium. Where other skis dampen the hard conditions and g-forces found in the park, the TNK turns them all the way up, for a ride 4FRNT says produces more power with less effort. Stiff and snappy like a carving ski, but with a near-center sidecut and stance for switch riding, this twintip is loaded for massive amplitude off the ramp and out of the pipe. LITEblock technology in the all-wood core decreases weight for faster spins but doesn't decrease the solid underfoot feel, so you can execute and land your unnatural tens with confidence and room to spare. 4FRNT equipped the TNK with a wider-than-average waist for stable takeoffs and landings, so while it's aimed towards serious park and pipe addicts, it will chop crud and float pow in a pinch.
Bottom Line: Pipe fiends make their mark on the amplitude meter with the 4FRNT TNK.
Hey, You should probably get a 155, but if youre really good at twin tips/park skis, you should get 165. The longer the ski, the harder to turn, and control. If you're using it in the park, or pipe mainly go for the 155. Pce
These ski's are super light, and bomb proof. The race base is key for cruising the groomed runs. They boost in the pipe and off jumps, lots of pop in these bad boys. They kill the park or pretty much anywhere on the hill.
I'm rocking the 180 length and absolutely love it. With its near true-center midsole, it rides switch just as well as forward. Definitely a stiffer park ski with tons of pop for blasting the pipe. It's super fast, light and responsive. No wet noodle here.
just wondering, wats your age, weight, and height? Im a long time twintip skier, 6'2" 170, what size? Should i get 175 or 180 for the proper length? Or go really short with a 165, for good turning, and park/pipe? Thanks
Im 6 foot 145 pounds.. And ski park all day erry day unless theres powder. Should i go with a 180 or downsize to a 175? ...they'll be mounted at true center.
I would probably say mounted true center you could handle the 180, as mounting that way cuts the front end length down, making it ski like a shorter ski.
Rocking the 180s and absolutely love it. The near true center midsole allows the ski to rip switch just as well as forward. Super fast, light and responsive. This is definitely a stiffer park ski with tons of pop. No wet noodles here.
Im 5.8 and weigh 135, but im still growing. what size should i get these, and are they the best twin-tip all mountain skis i can get for under approx $500?
There maybe aren't the best ski, but they are way up there. I like 4FRNT personally and they make great skis. As for sizing, I would suggest the 175cm, because the 165 is too short already, and the 180 will be too long at least for the next couple years.
These skis are a blast, so much pop and good stiffness for jumping to avoid unneeded washouts. The textured top sheet prevents chipping so much, I have rode mine all year and have one barely noticeable chip and thats from a crash. If you're looking for an awesome jump ski, look no further.
Go with the Rossignol SAS 2 140 or 120 or even the 150 or 200 but that might be too much din for you i recomend the 140 or 120 i have the 08 scratch 140s there great and the SAS 2 140 is the same as the Axial 2 140. SAS is just a name.
Guys..at who have it..please say about bindindigs?I think, that i have to drill skis at +2 cm per center label.guys, please help me(but only who have it)
Like Alex said above, +2-3 cm from recommended mounting point is a great spot to mount if you plan on riding mainly in the park. You are pretty much dead center at that point.
I think you mean +2 cm over traditional. If you go + 2 cm over center, then you are planning on riding them switch all the time.I don't have them, but seeing as you haven't gotten a response in quite some time, I would say +2-3 cm over traditional is a pretty good setup if you are planning on doing spins / riding switch quite a bit. More for switch than spins.
