Fischer T-Stix Telemark Ski - 2006

The freedom to go where you want comes standard with the Fischer T-Stix telemark skis. With the move to a wider, twintip ski you'll be able to be able to float powder in the morning and hit the park once the pow's beat. Aggressive underfoot dimensions not only move you through the deep snow but also give you a big landing pad for hitting backcountry kickers. Each size T-Stix has different dimensions to better fit each skier. The heart of the T-Stix is their vertically laminated wood core with Fischer's Air Carbon construction. This makes a ski that's torsionally strong, has a wide waist and low swing weight, and can still pop quick turns.

Bottom Line: Make the move to new school free-heeling with fat twintips.

What binding would you recommend for these? I normally ski lift

What binding would you recommend for these? I normally ski lift service areas and really enjoy my hammerheads on an old pair of Atomic TM22's. I also have an old set of 7tm's on a set of Atomic race skis, but am not as fond of those bindings. I would like an active binding.

The Hammerheads would work well with these skis too. But if you are looking for something different, the Black Diamond O2 would be great. The O1 and O2 bindings have incredible performance and snap for aggressive skiers.

Great all-around

I decided on these over the K2 hippies because they have a shorter turn radius and they're Fischers, which I’ve always liked. While they're softer than I expected, they nonetheless grab edge on the bulletproof great and are especially super fun on the soft. These are my first fatties, and I am sure glad that the binding-hoging-the-snow and taking-me-down days are over.
