Thanks to crazy buoyancy and a comfortable Glidefit, the Extrasport Universal HiFloat Life Jacket keeps you above the water line without that I'm-encased-in-a-block-of-Styrofoam feeling. This PFD also fits nearly anyone, as it works for chest sizes ranging from 30 to 56 inches. It'll keep your head above water, but it's probably a good idea to know how to swim before venturing out. Especially if you're considering whitewater and don't know how to roll. If you flip the kayak, whether it's an 18 foot sea kayak or a 5 foot playboat, the life jacket won't help you.
