Extrasport M'S X-Pert Flex Semi Dry Top - Men's

The necks on some paddle jackets give you the feeling that you’re slowly but surely being choked to death. Luckily, the X-Pert Semi Dry Top uses neoprene neck and wrist closures so your blood is free to flow. The waterproof breathable membrane works to block spray and also lets your excess heat out to avoid clamminess. A four-way stretch material across the back, shoulders, and sleeves enhances flexibility on short day trips or long tours.

Bottom Line: No neck torture.

This is titled as a semi dry top but appears to be very waterproof? Is this not the case? Can someone give me some more info on if this going to keep me dry or if its not to be trusted?

A Semi-dry top is waterproof everywhere except the neck.
If you roll or swim you will get some leakage. Otherwise it is dry.
A DRY top has a different closure around the neck and wrists that is waterproof no matter what. However just as the description says it is rather confining feeling if not properly fitted.

adequate for the job

Took this creekin' in Arkansas on a creek with some class III's. The water was cold but I stayed warm (and dry). The reason i didn't give this a higher rating is because the first time I used it, the mesh covering the breast pocket tore out. This was under my PFD, meaning nothing to snag on. Wasn't using the pocket and don't need it, but still...first time out?! would've given it 4 stars (maybe even 5) if extrasport just omitted the pocket altogether.
