Exped Coupler Kit

Make a double bed in the backcountry for you and your sweetie with the Exped Coupler Kit. The Coupler Kit features nylon straps that connect Exped sleeping pads to create a large sleeping area. Can it be used only with "Exped" brand pads? I have two pads that are not branded: just 20" wide each.

I would assume it could be used with any pad, as it basically seems like a long piece of elastic with velcro to secure it.
