The Ex Officio Men's Give-N-Go Boxer will make all those cotton jobbies in your top drawer obsolete. What's the secret to the Give-N-Go Boxer's performance and comfort? Give-N-Go stretch nylon, spandex blend fabric. The nylon gives these three-inch inseam boxers a silky smooth feel, while the spandex provides a bit of stretch for increased range of motion. These Ex-Officio boxer shorts wick sweat and resist odor, which makes them ideal for long hikes or wearing under your long underwear while skiing. The Give-N-Go Boxers' fabric also dries quickly, so you can hand wash them and hang them to dry when the nearest Laundromat is a couple hundred miles away. *White color underwear may have either a white or black top elastic band.
Bottom Line: Step up to the performance and comfort of the Ex Officio Give-N-Go Boxer.
These boxers are super light and comfy. If you are the kind of person that is very particular about the way your boxers feel under your shorts and pants, these are for you. It is sort of like wearing nothing at all. Very breathable and wicks any moisture from your parts. I highly recommend these for everyday use no matter what you are doing.
The only bad thing about these boxers is that I can't afford to update my entire boxer drawer with them. As far as being outdoors is concerned, I dont bother bringing any other kind of boxer with me. The fit is fantastic (the tri-pannel cut does a decent job of keeping the material from jamming itself into cracks *Ahem* where it shouldn't be) and the material is quite stretchy, so no need to worry about blowing a seam out. They dry very quickly and do a great job of holding off the funk of your junk after you've been on the trail for multiple days. If you're looking for a stellar piece of gear this is it!
what is the difference besides price between this product and the under armor product,, also does this product have a opening in the front for obvious purposes or do you have to pull the pant down from the waist? thanks
To start, yes, these do have a fly. Differences between these boxers and the under armour boxers: 1) UA has a button on the fly, these do not, 2) the while both use a quick dry material, the UA material feels much silkier and thinner than the material on the ex Officio.
I'm a sweaty dude who has been at war with chafing "down south" for my entire life. That's why a good pair of boxers are crucial. After twenty days straight of wearing this bad boys through some heavy exertion, let me tell you, these things are the real deal. Not only are they practically odorless, but they were never damp, and held chafing at bay. Frontcountry or backcountry, I wouldn't leave home without a pair of these.
I only gave them a 4 rating because they wear a little big as some of the other reviews pointed out and can tend to bunch up a little. But otherwise, the best underwear I've ever owned and they do everything as advertised (wash and dry easy, don't stink up, hardly even feels like you're wearing them, comfortable, warm) I think I'm going to try the Brief version with my next purchase.
Just like everyone else has said before me (the reason I bought 4 of these without ever trying them before). These boxers are simple the best there is. I know some people may think the $ is a lot for a pair of boxers but in reality some name brand boxers go for that much for just simple cotton based boxers!!!
I bought these specifically for skiing and other snowsports. I wanted some "wicking" material boxers (being that all of my other base layer is...it seemed stupid to wear cotton boxers under my other baselayers). I have to say these are awesome and worked extremely well...to be honest, you can't even tell that they are on..they don't bunch up (I think because of the slick fabric they are made of)...I also wore them on the airplane, and I have to say again...awesome...I am going to replace my entire boxer drawer with them. Yea its gonna be expensive, but it'll be worth it. They are very high quality and I think will hold up better then most!
the fit and feel is right on. i got an xl and it is good, i am 6'4 230. i do wish the band was a little softer, but even after one wash it felt better. and the band was way better than the one on the icebreaker bodyfit boxer brief, which almost cuts into my waist. only thing is it does tend to get caught in your crack a bit, i dunno if it is the material or the baggy fit of the boxer...i am use to boxer briefs. but it didn't do it enough to cause me to cast these aside. all in all this is a solid lightweight boxer.
Best boxers I have ever worn! I was a bit skeptical about the reviews claiming how these boxers were better than all the rest. How they wick moisuture and block odor....but they do! by far they live up to and exceeded expectations. Ex Officio got it right on with these things! Unlike the Patagonia Active Boxers, these do not bunch. They do not have a lot of extra material. They are sooo comfortable and dry extra fast when you wash them. Highly Recommended!
Good fit and comfort. I've yet to really crank out the miles in these, but for the short walks I've taken so far in mild conditions, these are the best I've used. Time will tell once the summer heat and humidity get here (upstate SC) but so far, REAL good.
I bought these for my son who is an outdoors guy. He was thrilled and stated they are the most comfortable pair he has owned. Well worth the money.I actually read the reviews on these, which is why I chose this product--glad I did !
Agree that they are a little spendy, but there aren't a lot of great non-cotton boxers out there. These seem to do the job just fine. Cheaper than the patagonia ones too (:
One great pair of boxers right here. SUper comfortable and great for casual and athletic use. I like these boxers much better than the Patagonia ones that I used to buy.
After trying Patagonia's boxer and REI's boxer, this is definitely the best wicking boxer. I cut the mesh brief out of my Ex Officio Amphi shorts so I could wear these boxers in them. By far the most comfortable pair of underwear ever owned.
If you're active in the least, when you find these on sale, load up your cart with as many as you can and throw all those old cotton things out. You know the ones; the ones with more holes and rips than material? The ones where if you're on a late-night-strip-down-and-swim adventure; people aren't going to view you the same Monday morning? Get rid of 'em all and replace 'em with these.
Started my wicking boxer switchover with the Patagonia Active Classics, and they're good, for sure; but these hold up much better and the fit is close but doesn't bunch at all. Don't think about it; just do it...
The waist band is a comfortable fit as well as the generous cut for a free range of motion. Comparable to the Under Armour boxer in feel and comfort. The UA is a little longer in the length. Overall...a great boxer.
Went on a river trip and wanted something that would dry fast and were comfortable. These definitely did the job. They didn't dry super fast, but were quick. Very pleased with the comfort of these as well, I use them for running in too.
I've worn these for rough travel around the world and have added enough of them over the years that they are now the only boxers I wear. They don't ride up and they breath and dry quickly. If you're prone to that uncomfortable..uh..chafing, get these! Everyone I've turned them onto have purchased multiple pairs.
First, great product, great material, really happy with them BUT The Size is big. there were mixed reports, which i found sort of annoying, but here's the deal I wear a large in 90% of boxers, hanes, gap, fruit of the loom, Under armour performance and compression, as well as Champion brands, and so I followed a review which said these were "true to size," this is NOT true. I should have ordered a medium. I won't send it back 'cause who really cares, but next time I'll get a medium. I recommend that you order a size smaller than your usual size.
Most comfortable boxers that I have ever worn/owned. These puppies stretch nicely and are hardly noticable when you are wearing them. They seem to be true to size. I got them because they can be handwashed and will dry quickly.
These are by far the most comfortable undershorts I have ever wore. Well worth the extra money. Two pair will last a week...yeah you heard me right! Easily washed in a sink and hung to air dry while on travel.
Very comfortable and lightweight boxers! They fit a little looser than expected but still a quality garment! They dry extremely fast! Would recommend these to anyone!
expensive but great product. i thought they fine but the pants were a little tight in my size. best for me was the no seams to sit on while on long motorcycle trip and wash and dry FAST!. did i say they dry FAST!
I normally wear cotton boxers. I purchased one the boxers, boxer-briefs, and sport briefs to give them all try to see which ones work best with work/travel/hiking/concerts...I found the boxer briefs to work the best, they did not bunch up at all and keep me dry and cool. I kept getting wedgies with the boxers, that was my only gripe. Just purchased 3 more pairs of the boxer-breifs. If you are questioning the price, then don't buy them, they do not perform miracles so if the price bothers you look elsewhere.
I really like these. they are really comfortable and they breathe and dry really well. I've had one pair for about 3 years and they are a tiny bit pilled, but otherwise they are more comfy and haven't had so much as a loose thread. I bring like 4 pair on an eight day work trip and just wash them at night as needed and hang them out to dry and they're good by morning.
Underwear nirvana is a beautiful thing and it lies within the Ex Officio Give-N-Go boxers. The fabric is far more comfortable than my traditional cotton boxers and the elasticity means they hardly ever ride up and mess with your junk. The anti-odor fabric really works as advertised which is nice for those times when your next shower might be a couple days away. They also dry very quickly which is awesome on the trail when chafing isn't so cool.
