Eureka Pinnacle Pass 3XTA 3-Person 3-Season - 2008

Divide the Eureka Pinnacle Pass 3XTA 3-person 3-season tent between three hikers for backpacking, or use it car camping so you and another person can stretch out. Eureka's clip and sleeve design makes for a quick setup. Two large mesh drop-doors make for easy entries and exits without stepping on your partners or their gear. Plus they keep the Pinnacle Pass 3XTA well ventilated, so you don't get any condensation. The vestibules let you store your muddy boots and extra dirty stuff outside the tent, so you won't have to wake up to waterlogged gear. If you're traveling with your dog but can't handle him in the tent, he'll stay nice and dry under the vestibule.

Bottom Line: Bring the Pinnacle Pass 3XTA give yourself space or take an extra friend.

Write your question here...I have a Eureka TL2 Delux Fr Lot N185. I have not put it together for years. It does not have tabs or pockets to put the 3 poles into that I can see and can not figure out how to put it together.

Good tent for the price

This tent spent 7 rainy nights in the Boundary Waters and we stayed dry. One complaint. The vestibule is positioned so that when it is wet and unzipped, the water drains into the tent upon entry or exit. So be careful of gear right under the doorways.

I live in a rainy climate- would this tent need a footprint?

I live in a rainy climate- would this tent need a footprint? Does Eureka make one for this tent?

Footprints do more to protect the tent from rocks, roots, angry underground tree gnomes, sticks, and other floor-destroying forest demons than they do to keep the tent dry. But footprints also add weight, so some prefer not to use them and be extra careful. I am not extra careful so I always use a footprint.

Eureka does make a footprint, though it is not an exact match to the floor size. They list the footprint for this tent as the "Floor Saver - Rectangular Small" which has a dimension of 4'9" x 6'8" (too small, in my opinion). The next size is 6'8" x 8'2", which would be my choice since you would get full coverage. I would contact Eureka to see what they recommend since maybe I'm missing something: 1-800-572-8822.
