I have a 12 volt socket and a cigarette lighter socket, which one do I use to charge my e-pac? and also should the red light on the e-pac come on while it is charging?

I'm pretty sure the 12 volt socket and cigarette lighter are the same voltage -12V. Not sure about the red light, sorry.
