El Naturalista Men's Moai Slip-On Shoe combines classy style, incredible comfort, and eco-friendly construction to keep your feet and your conscience happy. El Naturalista tanned these clogs' leather uppers using vegetable extracts and ground tree bark. This process leaves the shoes with a finish that protects them from water, dirt, and wear. The Moai's anatomically designed insoles consist entirely of recycled cork, which breathes well, absorbs impact, and disperses weight evenly as you walk. Natural rubber soles flex actively, last for the long haul, and degrade more rapidly than synthetics when discarded.
Bottom Line: Your options aren't limited to hemp. El Naturalista's Moai Shoes offer high-class style with low environmental impact.
Picked up these shoes and they were exactly what I hoped for. They are extremely comfortable and mold well to your feet. They slip on easily but stay put once they're on so if you're running without socks you're not going to get rubbed too raw! They run very true to size. Color is great and it's a bonus that they're green on the enviro. El Naturalista have become my new favorite chillin shoes for sure!
Here's a question. How can you have a LEATHER shoe that is considered green? Yes I understand that it was tanned with some vegetable, but that is like calling a V8 Hummer green because the windshield wiper blades are made out of recycled rubber.
Using leather isn't bad for the environment. That's a vegetarian issue, not an environmental issue. In fact, using leather (as opposed to synthetic materials) is probably better because leather is natural and most synthetics are petroleum by-products.
I bought these for my son for Christmas and he loves them. He says he wears them everyday. They are so comfortable. So its well worth the price. So he thinks I'm a Great Mom.
One would wear a cuero colored belt. You could also go with a natural saddle colored belt. Trafalgar makes a great belt that will match the cuero color as well as the stitching.
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Super well made, and they look great. Like the other review, you should buy them if you are on the fence about the price-- well worth every penny. They will last for years if you take care of them. Buy the shoes, you won't regret it when you see them. FYI-- The 'Cuero' color is accurate on this web site. I went to the manufacturer's web site, and they look almost reddish in color... this is not the case.
Had to give these to my roommate because they were too big, even the smallest size. So I don't think the sizing is correct. My roommate loves them though. Comfy right out of the box. High quality shoe.
Not much else to say. Classy, comfortable and extremely well constructed. If you're gun shy about the price just pull the trigger. Your feet will thank you.
