Easton EC90 Aero 700C Wheel Set - Tubular - 2008

The deep aerodynamic dish profile and carbon stiffness of the Easton EC90 Aero 700C Tubular Wheelset puts a lustful gleam in the eye of any serious racer. Hand built with bladed Sapim spokes on black anodized Easton R4 hubs, the EC90 Aero has the straightline efficiency of a razorblade and the acceleration of a bee-stung quarter horse. It's light enough for climbing, tough enough for cyclocross, and hot enough to make the rest of the starting line drool uncontrollably.

Bottom Line: From the Alps to the Apennines, this wheelset does it all.

Easton doesn't set a maximum rider weight on their wheels. Due to the amount of R&D at Easton this should be considered a testament or quality.

Best deep rim wheels out there -- better than zip

Bought a pair a few months ago. Absolutely amazing. Rims are super strong. Hubs spin forever and can easily be hand adjusted. Compared to the zip 404, these feel equally as aero. A little heavier but infinitely more durable. (I cracked my 404's on a relatively tiny pothole)

No, they are thermal transfer or something. You can't even get an edge with a fingernail.

how do these backcountry.com writers come up with such insanely awesome descriptions? "The EC90 Aero has the straightline efficiency of a razorblade and the acceleration of a bee-stung quarter horse." That's fargin brilliant.

The Backcountry.com product copy crew is actually a group of magical elves trapped below their warehouse in West Valley. Nobody exactly knows where they came from or how they keep up on their pop-culture and retro-punk references, but I'm happy that they exist.
