Eureka Pinnacle Pass 3XTA 3-Person 3-Season - 2006

Divide the Eureka Pinnacle Pass 3XTA 3-person 3-season tent between three hikers for backpacking or use it car camping so you and another person can stretch out. Eureka's clip and sleeve design make for quick set-up. Two large mesh drop doors make for easy entries and exits without stepping you your partners or their gear, and they keep the Pinnacle Pass 3XTA well ventilated so you don't get any condensation. The vestibules let you store your muddy boots, and extra gear outside the tent, so you won't have to wake up to waterlogged gear. If you're traveling with your dog, but can't handle him in the tent, he'll stay nice and dry under the vestibule.

Tent Review

I purchased this tent about one month ago and have already gone on two backpacking trips. The tent is very light for backpacking and with the help of a stuff sack it got very compact. The first trip in which I used the tent it got down to about 15 degrees; with hail, sleeting rain, and snow in the morning. The tent sets up very nicely and was extremely easy to take down. I have no regrets on buying this tent but I would recommend getting a smaller stuff sack than is provided and purchasing a ground tarp to increase the lifetime of this tent. ENJOY!

A great price for a 3-person tent

This is a smallish tent, suitable for 2 people (not too big a surprise). The only thing I felt was lacking was the rain fly did not cover very well. Even with extra rigging, rain dripped on the inner layer and inside the tent got a little wet (more than I would deem acceptable) after a 2-day rain. Otherwise it seemed fine.
