The EMU Women’s Bronte Hi Boot gives you a unique blend of style and insulating warmth for slogging through a wintry city street or living it up at the ski resort. This sheepskin boot features a soft, moisture-wicking merino wool lining that provides warmth and keeps your feet dry and comfortable with or without socks. The dual-density EVA Emusole outsole cushions your foot whether you’re hanging around the house or hoofing it through the snow.
The Emu Stinger Hi boot is made of sheepskin while the Bronte Hi boot is made of suede with a merino wool lining. This is the reason the Bronte Hi is cheaper than the Stinger Hi.
I give this boot 5 stars for excellent quality, comfort and style. I bought these for my younger daughter in pink and it is exactly the shade of pink shown in the picture. They keep her feet very warm and she has even put them on around the house when her feet get cold. Excellent buy and the price is great!!
are these boots sized the same as UGG since UGG owns EMU? I have a size 7 in my UGGs but am regularly a size 8 in other shoes so I was not sure what size was best.
These boots are very cozy, the tread is good on ice and they do not feel too bulky. I have not waterproofed mine yet but will. However, I wore them in the snow, without socks, and my feet did not get wet.
I ordered these boots in my normal size . I did NOT like them. They were snug around my calf but the bottom flopped all over. Then I got a pair one size smaller and LOVE them. I do not wear socks with them and they have packed out perfectly. I could easily wear a thin sock if I wanted to.
Unfortunately they don't. They aren't super rigid though so if you've got wider than normal feet you'll be fine. If you've got very narrow feet you could add an insole.
They run large, I have issues with large calves so it would be nice if the boots were made a little larger in the calves. I returned this pair because of the large fit and ordered down a size in a different style. it would be nice to be able to wear them with the pants tucked in but you have to have very small calved to do that:-(
Just bought my first pair of EMUs and I LOVE them -- nice and warm, but not overly. Question ... are they waterproof or do I need to get some kind of waterproofing kit?
These boots were so hard, hurt my ankles. Just horrible! There is a piece of something that goes across the front of your ankle. UGH! My ankles were sore for a week. I only wore them once. Also, they rubbed the back of heel. I returned them. UGGs are just the best! Don't settle for less! Just not worth it!
ha, this one made me laughYeah, that's funny. To answer your question though, they don't fit super tight. They're not extremely loose but they aren't skin tight. I would consider them snug!
I love the boot ....it's made equally well.... if not better than ugg...I wear a 7.5 in most shoes and ordered a 7 .....next year I get a 6 since they really grow as you wear them
Dear all, I would like order at least 10 EMU boots, how can i order the boots? Where is your store in Australia? Please give me some information Thanks and warm regards, Otgoo
There is no store in Australia, the only one's in Salt Lake City. There's 212 in stock here right now though, so you could certainly just order them online.
I have the boots in sand and black.... Both are very easy to clean...My husband thought it was a bad idea to buy the sand, bcuz they would be dirty by the first use...They did get dirty, but I just grabbed a wet paper towel, scrubbed it...and that was it... When it dried....there was no stain or nothing.... LOVE IT.....I have friends who have uggs, and they're stained and have creases....Mine dont have that at all....and my friends actually thought that mine were uggs... Very proud to be an EMU user.... Absolutely satisfied, and will buy them again if needed.... THANK YOU EMUUU.....
I have boots made of sheepskin and I have never had a problem. If anything gets on them, I use a dry suede brush (or a dry tooth brush) to brush it off. A little water does not hurt them either. You can use a damp cloth to rub off dirt or dried mud as well. Here's a great link with some more advice: http://tinyurl.com/6fokth.
These are comfortable like slippers...very warm and the fleece lining does cover the entire interior. I sprayed the boots with waterproofer and no snow penetrated. They do run a little large so they'll accomodate my thick wool socks for the really cold weather.
I have five pair all different colors. I wish I had bought more. To be honest they are so warm I ware them comfortably indoors and forget that they are boots. I am the mom who complains about people wareing their shoes in the house, but these just feel like extremely different high cut slippers. They actually leave you feeling guilty using them for outdoors. So I picked my outdoor pair, and the rest I use for the mall the house and anywhere else I want. Thanks for hearing me out I am glad someone is getting to hear how great these shoes really are.
My new gear is the whip. They look so good with my jeans and they fit just right.I was impressed with how good they look but they are so functional.finally something good to brag about.
Bought these boots for my 17 year old daughter. She loves them just as much as her UGGs and thinks they're more comfortable and warmer. I'm considering a pair for myself.
I bought these for my girlfriend and she tells me everyday how awesome they are. She routinely wears them without socks because she says she doesnt even need them and she says they are extremely warm and great in snow and slush. Every girl at her work is extremely jealous so I would say she would recommend them.
I just bought a pair in a size 8 (my normal size) and they fit perfectly! I have fairly skinny calves, and these fit me perfectly. They're not overly big around my calves (like most tall boots are on me), but not skin tight either ( I can fit socks and my skinny jeans in the boot). I would recommend these to anyone wanting a warm, cute pair of boots!
They run a bit large, but tight on my calf? I wear an 8 in Uggs, and when I got the Emu's they were a bit big but on the bottom of my foot but tight on my leg. Over all theyer really cute :]
The Bronte hi boots are beautiful and fit my daughter's feet perfectly but unfortunately they were too tight around her calf. We are hoping the lo-cuts will work better.
I bought two pairs and had to return them. Ordered a size 7 as in Uggs and were told they were the same thing. The 7 was huge on me and my friend and the inside is wool, not as comfortable as the sheepskin lining in the Uggs. Was not happy with the fit or comfort. I paid the extra double price for the fit and comfort of the more expense UGG tall boots, which fit perfect!
Warm and cozy. They run a little big. I am a 7.5 and the 7 had a hard time fitting over my calves so I went went the 8 route only to be slightly disappointed. They were good at first, but now that they are broken in the foot part is much to big and kinda floppy. I suggest buying them down a size if you are a half size.
Just bought these for my daughter per their request. They have a pair of Uggs but their friends have Emu. They like the Emu better. It has much better fit and feel. From what they say Emu were first introduce out of Australia but Uggs advertised better. Great deal fast service from Back country and best of all they followed up my purchase with a email to see if were happy.
