Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot - Men's

On the skin up, you want your boot to be superlight. Feather-light. Half-a-feather-light. On the way down, you want bomber stiffness and support. Welcome to the Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot.

  • Polyurethane mix maximizes rigidity and support while keeping weight low
  • Alpine overlap construction allows for a walk/tour range with agile forward and rear motion
  • High, stiff Titan Spoiler adds support and forward lean
  • Lightweight, micro-adjustable magnesium buckles have floating touring hooks for the ascent
  • Triple Binding Sole (TBS) means you can use the touring setup or alpine setup (both toe-and-heel sets included) for backcountry and resort days
  • Titan TF-X liner combines heat moldability with a plastic-reinforced tongue

Bottom Line: Strong, stiff, and light from start to finish.

Same foot shape here... Scarpa Skookums were the answer for me. They are a 'beef' boot, but I think they tour and hike great. They actually have a better rocker feel while hiking than my F3s.

The comparison I will use is the Spirit 4 by Scarpa. I wear a 30.5/31 in the Scarpa, The toe box is somewhat narrow, but the boot with liner on fits my foot ok. I can do long tours w/o much pain to the outsides of my feet. The Dynafit in a 30.5, w/o the liner is very narrow. My foot folds up on ether side when just shell fitting sans liner. If you have a wide forefoot, you will most likely need to have a sixth toe punch to ensure a comfortable fit

Same issue with me. I have been trying to try these boots on but, they do have a 102 mm forefoot last. That's about as wide as it gets when it comes to ski boots. I would think with a thin ankle and wide forefoot this would be a good choice for you. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, give 'em a shot and you can send them back if you don't like them. One boot I can guarantee will fit your type of foot is the Black Diamond Factor. I was skeptical of the boa system on the Factor but it really helped hold my skinny ankles in place. The word that I have on the Titan though is that for a touring compatible boot it's tops in performance.

Dynafits Best offering yet!

My introduction to the Titan was a five day traverse. Having a big bag made me realize how stiff these boots are. With 70lbs on my back these boots responded quickly and skied aggressively. Having watched Dynafit boots develop over the years, this is their best offering yet.

A super cool hook extends out of the clasps and hold the buckle loosely, this prevents the buckles from swinging around as you hike up for hours. A slick little gadget.

This boot climbs as well as it skis. My testimony would be that I climbed and skied off Mt-Blanc , in 11hrs, while wearing this boot.

Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot - Men's

These boots are stiff, ski great, and the walk mode is solid. I skied these for the first time this weekend and I'm sold. They fit my foot perfect with a wide forefoot (102mm last) and a skinny ankle. These boots ski well and will most likely turn into my everyday alpine boot as well. Can't say enough good things about these. Finally, someone comes through with a true freeride touring boot.

Write your question here... with regard to the TBS (triple binding

Write your question here... with regard to the TBS (triple binding sole) ... do the alpine toe and heel pieces still retain the boots look as an AT boot? i.e. rubber tread on the bottom? or does it turn it into more of an alpine looking boot with a hard plastic sole and heel? would the TBS allow for compatibility with ALL alpine bindings? ... specifically rossignol?

They have made this boot to be compatible with all bindings. Check it out http://dynafit.eu/uk/15/672/61219-Titan_TF_X.html

The sole needs to be plastic to rotate out of conventional bindings, so the alpine sole is plastic,.

The Titan is the stiffer boot, it is very stiff laterally, and I was blown away by how stiff they were when I was in the back seat. I could stand up off them and get back onto my skis. Great boot. It is their burliest boot yet.
I believe it is a bit higher than the Zeus.
