Dynafit Low Tech Race Binding

With the introduction of the race-specific Low Tech Race Binding, Dynafit has done the impossible and made the world’s lightest ski binding… again. dynafit bindings for those in the backcountry are a must. most of my friends have been worried that they aren't enough binding for aggressive skiing. i'd say this is not a problem. think about it, some pretty bad ass skiers live in these bindings. if you aren't dropping 50 foot cliffs in them you will be fine. i don't see a reason NOT to buy these bindings.

What is the difference in performance between the dynafit low

What is the difference in performance between the dynafit low tech binding and the high tech binding? Are racing bindings the only bindings they make?
I am making the shift from tele to at and want to get a nice light setup. I am a moderately aggressive skier. I would like to be able to ski the lifts as well as the the bc. I am a female, 5'5 and 125lbs. Would you recommend the dynafit over the black diamond?

In addition to what Jared noted, the race version lacks any release adjustment (unclear what it's equivalent DIN value is) and also lacks any fore/aft length adjustment (so be very careful with your mounting). Therefore, it's really appropriate only for racers.

The Low Tech binding is different from the standard Speed in a couple ways: (1) the toe piece is titanium and (2) the heel piece is stripped down and only has one elevation setting (the Speed has two). Weight-wise, it is Dynafit's lightest offering and is geared towards rando racers. If you are looking for a backcountry/slackcountry binding, I'd go with the Speed or Vertical because of the higher heel piece. Quite often I ski resorts on Dynafits, but they aren't optimal.
