Deuter Kid Comfort I

Deuter's Kid Comfort I does it all. It's a versatile and affordable child carrier that's super comfortable and its unique suspension system won't leave you with a sweaty back. A sturdy mesh backrest is tensioned between the load bearing frame components. This system keeps the child carrier from coming in direct contact with your back. Moist air can freely escape through the three-sided ventilated system preventing heat build-up. Deuter's Vari-Quick adjustment system allows you to change users of the pack easily. Separate sun and rain hoods can be bought and added to the carrier. Deuter's Kid Comfort I has no real weight limitation, but the child has to be old enough to support their own head. It has a fold out stand so you can take a break and sit down without taking the child out of the carrier. The zippered pocket in back has enough room for a few extra goodies whether you're hiking on trails or just trying to get to the other side of the airport.

Bottom Line: So easy-to-carry you'll think you forgot your kid.

Outstanding backpack

By:

The pack is lightweight and has a lot of room for adjusting for both baby and packer (in this case grandma). I bought thepack to carry my grandson while doing chores on the farm. He sits up and has a good view, yet he is safely secured by the harness. The design of the pack makes it easy to carry him while pushing a wheelbarrow, packing hay, cleaning stalls, or changing irrigation without wearing your back out. A great product, I couldn't be happier!

Light Weight

This is my first baby carrier I've ever bought, so I don't have much to compare it to. What I really like about the carrier is it feel really light when my 7 month boy is sitting in it. Not sure if that's because the pack is just really light or the adjustments are just really good. I guess what I don't get in the pack, which is related to it's weight, is much storing area to put things. But the way I look at it, I probably won't be taking the baby on really long hikes anyways, so I really don't need a whole lot.

No bad product

We bought these backs because we have twins and I didn't want to spend more than $300 on packs for them. They seemed to enjoy themselves when we've used them for hiking. They are very secure in there and I think they like the view. The packs are comfortable for the most part although I am still trying to find the right adjustments for mine. On our last hike I came home with really sore/brusied hips. Overall I like this product but if you can afford it I would go with one of the newer models. Oh, and this model is not hydration pack friendly, as some other website have said (not backcountry, they wouldn't do that) :).
