Reduce your load when you trail blaze wearing the Deuter Futura Zero 30 Backpack, a slimmed down version of the popular Futura pack. The Futura Zero 30 has 1850cu in of space while remaining lightweight with less bulk so you can move faster on the trail. Deuter's Air Comfort System creates space between your back and the pack to decrease uncomfortable sweating. The steel spring framesheet and sturdy mesh straps give this pack a shift-free fit. Durable ripstop materials, hydration compatibility, and external pockets are a few of the extras that make the lightweight Future Zero 30 a hit at the trailhead.
Bottom Line: Hike with a pack that doesn't weigh you down and that keeps you from becoming too sweaty..
This pack has been great. I bought this pack for ultralight trips-used it on many and it holds all of my gear no problem-but I've also adopted it as my day pack when I'm out and about. The mesh pockets are super handy and hold lots of stuff, and the two zippered pockets in the brain are great for keeping small things organized. One feature I particularly love is the mesh ventilation; not only is the space between the wearer's back and the pack is HUGE compared to other packs (which allows you to stuff a jacket or gloves or a map back there), but the bag still feels like it lies close to the back so balance is not an issue while it keeps you super cool on hot days. Finally, The waistbelt is very comfortable and does not get too hot at all. The only things I wish the pack had was bigger/more pockets on the waistbelt.
All in all, a great pack and I am very glad to own one!
This pretty much does it all - 7 pounds to 30 pounds of gear. Stuffed full or cinched down tight...it feels amazing. The ventilation is great...especially on those hot days at Smith Rock. There is everything you need, and practically nothing you don't. It has replaced a few older packs...all for one reasonably priced one. Great quality too!
26 x 13 x 9 inches. Kind of tall for a 30 litre pack. If the airline makes you measure the pack, it won't likely pass, but then again, maybe they won't and you can just walk right on.
I have been looking for a great day pack for a long time. the Deuter Zero line has the same thought that I have "save weight without making a product that will fall apart."Currently I have it full of water bottles (about 25lbs) to prepare for CO hiking trip, I won't need that much weight in the pack when I go, but it is nice to know it can take it.Very happy with my choice.
I use this for day hiking. It is amazingly comfortable and super light. The features are also outstanding. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this pack. The air comfort system really works at keeping your back from getting all sweaty. Gotta love german engineering!
I got one of these pre-release last year, and I did overnighters fishing with it, hiked a ton of alpine with it, and pretty much ditched the rest of my hiking packs for it. The air mesh contact backing on this pack reduces sweating on your back so much, I never felt like my back was soaked after hiking for over 4 hours up 4000 ft of vertical gain. This holds so much stuff and has a ton of room. Best multi-pack I have ever had.
We bought this pack as a gift for our son. He has used it several times while cross country skiing and loves it. He says it is the most comfortable pack he has ever owned.
All the weight it distributed by the waist strap and suspension system. The pack feels almost like its not even there more of the hike. Very adaptable, super comfortable, and extremely lightweight
I have used this for hiking, but I use it daily for bringing all of my workout gear and extra stuff to work. Carries 2 pairs of shoes, 2 changes of clothes, and a laptop, all while being comfortable and fitting through the narrow confines of a navy ship. A great all around pack.
