Deuter Futura 24 SL Backpack- Women's - 1450cu in

With the same technology for comfort and performance just on a smaller scale,Deuter created its Futura 24 SL Backpack specifically for women. With 1350 cu inches of room, this pack holds enough gear to get you to the top of a summit or long day hike. Deuter's Aircomfort technology features a panel that separates your back from you pack, which allows air to move freely between the two. Carrying up to 15lbs, the Futura 22 is hydration compatible and includes an integrated rain cover. You have to be tough to reach the summit and so does your pack; made of ripstop nylon, this bag meets the demands of tough terrain. Stabilizing straps and the hip-belt guarantee a secure fit that makes sure that just your legs do all the work. Tons of extra exterior pockets, including a smaller front zip pocket on the waist-belt, make for easy access to little things you'll need during your hike.

Bottom Line: The Futura 22—fit for a woman, designed for the mountain.

Good Pack

I bought this pack for climbing. I was skeptical about the rigid frame for what I was using it for but it seems to be alright and the ventilation is great, especially being in the desert. Its lightweight and has lots of storage compartments. Its very comfortable and the fit is perfect and easily adjustable. Overall, very happy with this pack. I'd recommend it.

Not for Mary - but in the body of the text about the pack, you refer to it as 22 and 24. They make both. I am guessing you mean 24...

Hey Mary - this pack is actually way too small for a 2 to 3 night trip. Even though it looks like it could work for an overnight pack, this is meant for a day pack. You'll have a lot of trouble fitting in your gear for that length of a trip.

I'd eye some packs that have between 3000 - 4000 cu in. My "weekend" pack is ~3300 cu in and in my opinion it's the perfect size.

Review Title

I love, love, love this backpack.
I looked a long time for a women's pack that offered the features I was looking for- namely pockets in a lightweight women's frame. (note: I am petite- 5'3" I did have to tighten the straps quite a bit, but the pack fit great!!)
I am a volunteer for our county's search and rescue group, and so I need places to stash medical equipment and this pack has it.
One roomy main section, a good sized lower pocket holds all my medical stuff, then there are two side and two top pockets, two mesh pockets (for water bottles or whatever) a little front hip-belt pocket and hydration pack friendly. (side note they don't tell you in the description- there is a zippered pocket at the top, right behind your head, so you can reach up, unzip it while walking along- and pull out- whatever (I stuck my glasses in there, nice and secure/ easy access).
I just took this pack up to the top of Half Dome yesterday and it performed great. The many straps make adjusting a breeze (as one takes off or puts on layers).
It's a great day pack!!!
