I found these clogs to be too tight across the instep. They never loosened up sufficiently to be comfortable. I would up buying a pair of Sanita Professional clogs (the company that made Dansko's on contract until recently), they were comfortable from the start.

Ive been a chef for ten years and danskos are all ill wear. Im on probably my 8th or ninth pair. They take some getting used to and breaking in but the literally become an extension of your feet. My feet never hurt, legs never ache and, especially important, my back never hurts because they keep your posture correct. They are also surprisingly very nonslip.
cons: I rarely get more than a year plus out of them but i work 70-80 hrs. a week.

I have 4 pairs of Danskos. One pair are the professional oiled in brown that I bought in early 2007. They are super wonderful and comfortable. So I bought some black ones this past Christmas. ('08) BUT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SHOES!! THEY WERE TOTALLY UNCOMFORTABLE!! I noticed my old ones were made in Poland whereas my new ones were made in China. So I called Dansko and found out that they CHANGED THEIR MANUFACTURERS!!! The shoes are not the same. I am sadly returning these shoes. :(

I also found out that their old manufacturers are now selling the old Dansko clog under a brand called SANITA. I'm getting ready to buy some Sanitas. I wish Back Country carried Sanita so that I could buy them from them. They are a great company and I hope to be a continued customer. Thank you!!

I got these clogs for my boyfriend and he totally loves them. He even puts on clean socks when he wears them!!!

Dansko pros get more comfortable with wear. Assuming you buy 1/2 size up from your normal shoe size, they'll start a little snug with medium socks; they break in, and after a few days you'll want to never take them off.

Looks? They're clogs, people. They're functional. Looks are in the eye of the beholder, and, unless you're a doctor or chef, not the usual type of shoe. I think they look good; but your mileage may vary. Bottom line: If you care that much about how you look, go for style, not comfort and practicality.

Final note: They're especially great for airline travel, especially long-haul flights where you absolutely don't want snug lace-ups.

Long days on the dogs, and never have I found a shoe that I have been so into. I wear these clogs all the time! My feet hardly hurt after a long day of standing. The fit took a day because I am used to tight-fitting running shoes.

I am a 10.5 and I bought a 10.5. Perfect fit. A little loose is just how you want them.

The weight took a day to become normal, and the snap roll of the ankle keeps me from running in them, but otherwise they are the best work shoe I have ever owned. And they look great!

My wife has worn these for years and sworn by them. I figured they looked a little metrosexual but who cares if they are as good as everyone says. I love them! great for standing for hours.

This is my second pair of "Dansko Oiled Casual Clogs" and it may be me, but with both pairs one or the other of my ankles buckles unexpectedly every once in a while. The clogs are comfortable, but I wouldn't risk wearing them out of the house and won't buy another pair.

danskos are a must for those on their feet all day. however the dansko sports
even with their quirky looks were much more comfortable than the professionals.

I brought two pair of your clogs to work in one for myself the other for my boyfriend on looks and the fact that your heel comes out of the shoe as you walk he did not like , so I returned his, it took a minute for me to become use to mine but I love them, the only problem is that when I wear them with thicker socks to keep my ankles warm the shoe is to tight

This will feel weird the first couple hours, but know that your foot is getting use to the shoes. Can't take them off, Im a 10.5 and I wear a 44, know they will fit a tad big, but that is for comfort and normal, if they get scuffed either deal with it or rub in some lotion. And if they do come in the box a little scuffed try the lotion before fretting too much.

Ok, manly men. We can all agree that these are a bit "metro." However, I finally found a shoe that I can rock all day in the concrete jungle & not have my pupps barking at the end of the day. Also, if you live anywhere near the mountains these are a must have for all occasions. These go great with brown pants & a windproof fleece. Don't balk at the price, these will last longer than any other piece of footwear you own. Great for going to the bar in the winter, leave those dirty hiking boots at home.
