Dale of Norway Wyller Jacket - Men's

The Dale of Norway Men's Wyller Jacket exemplifies the resurgence of wool in technical outerwear, combining weatherproof Hielo yarn with Gore Windstopper technology. The Wyller presents a refined yet sturdy appearance, perfect for a day on piste followed by a drink in front of the lodge fireplace. You'll find yourself pulling it on for every task, from splitting cordwood for the stove, to walking the dogs during the overnight flurry, because the unmatched warmth and durability of the Wyller Jacket's Gore Windstopper-backed Hielo wool makes every other jacket seem, well, superfluous.

Bottom Line: The windproof wool Wyller Jacket is tough, yet sophisticated—bring anyone to mind?

Nice

I ordered this jacket because I was looking for something different that was still a nice technical piece. First of all, it looks fantastic. I've had more compliments on this jacket than any garment I've ever owned. I'm 5'11 180# and got the extra large. It fits great across the chest and shoulders and is maybe a hair long in the arms and torso. The cut is athletic and trim. I don't agree that this isn't a warm jacket. It's warmer than my Arc'eryx Gamma. I wore it driving to work today, 40 degrees outside no heat and the window down half way. Nothing on under it except a t-shirt. It blocks the wind very well. The Wyller regulates temperature efficently. My first impression was it isn't a terribly warm coat, but my impression has changed the more I wear it. With a midweight base layer under it I expect it will be quite comfortable down into the teens. With a shell over the top it will be an oven. I've encountered snow squalls while wearing the Wyller and it sheds water nicely. It is not light weight, so it won't be going in the pack. It also lacks an inside zippered pocket - not a deal breaker but one would've been nice. My only other complaint is the zipper isn't as high quality as I'd like to see on a coat of this price. Despite those minor gripes I give the Wyller five stars. It's exactly what I was searching for. A technical jacket that is well made, regulates temperature well and doesn't look like wardrobe from a sci-fi flick.

I'm very interested in this jacket and am just wondering

I'm very interested in this jacket and am just wondering where it is made. All of my other Dale of Norway sweaters are made in Norway and I'm hoping this product is too. Thanks.

And the rest is made in norway, 400 yards from my house actually.

In Dalekvam, Norway.. Just outside of Bergen..

One Killer Jacket

OK, I thought my Marmot Gravity was quite a find for the money, and it is. But this is just something special. Theres nothing else like it out there that i'm aware of. Just a work of art in my opinion. It fits like a glove, is super warm, and makes you look like a movie star. Not "Comfy/Cozy" warm, more like hard shell warm. So far very good waterproof/resistance. Ok, bottom line, its Teflon coated, thick & new Norwiegen wool, backed by Gore wind-stopper, lined with soft stuff right up to your chin...so i'll let you GUESS if it's technically adequate...What makes it worth all the bread is the looks you will get in this thing. Yeah, it's that good looking. No joke. I'm not a $300.00+ jacket-kind-of-guy, but i've tried alot of them and am VERY happy i got this one.

Dale of Norway

In case you thought Dale has lost its direction, think a gain.

The updated (Gore)Windblock combined with the tried and true close knit characteristics of a classic Dale of Norway sweater. Very good wind protection and fairly warm garment.

Anthoer Dale on my shelf...

I just purchased this jacket, but decided to return it. There apparently some engineering work not done correct:

1. The collar warped in a way more like someone washed not carefully and wool shrinks causing the warpage of collar - this is more like design issue, the shrinkage of the liner and outside wool is not the same, sounds like the engineering team miss calculate the effect

2. right shoulder and left shoulder are not symmetrical, it could well be due to the same root cause I wrote in #1

overall, good jacket, but cosmetic (dimension control, carefully calculate the shrinkage effect of different materials etc) wise needs more improvement, if maker fixed this issue, it would attract more buyer.
