why is the dmm v-twin/belay master set more expensive than the sum of the two pieces of gear

I think this is actually three pieces. The biner, clip and belay device. The master clip is $8.50 and the belay device is $25.95. The Fatboy HMS (which i think is the biner that comes with the set) is $13.95 which makes buying all three $50. So the set is $4-$5 cheaper.
