Dalbello Sports Krypton iL Moro I.D. Ski Boot - Men's

Buckle into the freeride-specific IL Men's Moro Alpine Ski Boot and punish the park, pipe, and anything else with a lip, pop, or drop. Dalbello's signature Cabrio design provides unparalleled fit and flex for advanced and expert skiers. Opt for the IL Moro Boot's medium flex tongue for soft days in the park or beef it up with the stiff tongue when you head on the 'biles for a backcountry session. The lightweight and ridiculously comfortable Silver I.D. thermo-liners give you a custom fit with a simple heat molding process. This boot also features the unique Hyperband wide profile shin pad, a slap-ratchet closure system that replaces the traditional power strap and upper buckle configuration. The IL Moro's full-length anti-shock footbed takes the pins and needles out of each stomp while the 98 millimeter last holds you in a foot-hugging performance fit.

Bottom Line: Own the park and pipe with the Dalbello IL Moro Alpine Ski Boot.

They come with a second black tongue that is stiffer. They also come with heal wedges that allows you to change the forward lean of the boot. I use the big wedges and the black tongue. With that setup there is no place the iL Moro can’t go.

Preform and comfyyyy!

By:

just got these boots this year. iv only had em out twice but i love em. iv had KR rampages in the last couple of years and those don't even compare to the il moro. the intuition liners these come with are comfy and warmer than any other liner iv ever worn. the snowboard binding ratchet strap that replaces the traditional booster strap most boots come with, are SICK! allows for micro-adjust ability. used to get shin bang bad in my old boots and has totally disappeared in these thanks to the liners. no need to bake these liners just wear em a couple times and they form to your foot and don't pack out as soon as if you would bake em. great to hike in as well very COMFYY!!

Loaded...

By:
September 17, 2009

Like a loaded BMW, these boots are sick. I just got them delivered, and its September so I haven't had the chance to ski them, but I can tell they're quality. Loaded with features, and the 'what would be powerstrap' kicks ass... it employs technology from snowboard bindings, with a big (4-5") strap covering almost the entire shin, and ratcheting plastic strap so you can really crank it down if needed. the two other buckles are also very well placed, and you can feel them doing their job (holding your foot comfortably) when tightened. The boots are extremely light and very stiff. One of the little features I really like is the chain link clips to link up the boots when you take em off. Its just a really thoughful feature that speaks to the overall consideration they took when designing the boot. The liners and fit of the boot are very comfortable, so far (still haven't skied them). But know already that these boots will rock.

they come with multiple tongues that have different stiffness ratings. The boot is one the most customizable boots on the market and is honestly amazing in all conditions. I HAVE NOT HAD SHIN BANG IN A YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS BOOT FOR PARK RATS. I ride park 60% of the time and the boot can handle anything. If it fits your foot correctly buy it because you will never be happier.

Quick question, you say they are extremely light. Can you giv e me an exact figure in lbs/kg? That's is the only thing that keeps me from getting some, I spoke to a few people and they said they are quite heavy after all. I actually can't believe that they are heavy by the way they are constructed. I wrote a mail to Dalbello, but they never came back to me and you can't find an exact number anywhere, not even on their website. Have size 43 Europe, guess thats about size 9 US.

Thanks, sleepy Joe

can u read? I said its september and I haven't skied them yet, and I'm not going to get a real sense of the stiffness from my apt. But, I swapped the interchangeable shell tongue out from the park to the freeride specific ones, and there was a considerable difference So no, you are wrong, douchenozzle... It is not a park oriented boot, it is a park specific OR a freeride specific boot, depending on what damn tongue piece you have in it, which makes this boot even slicker....

r u nuts. these are park oriented boots. if u think these are stiff, god knows how stiff the i.d. pros would be for you. these are the softest of the krypton line.

These boots are sick. i actually just bought these this year, and have ridden them a couple times. coming from the rampages, these are a way better boot. the new ratchet strap is great. tighten them for pow with stiffer tounges, or loosen them with the soft tounges for park.the colors are also way better than the rasta. dont get me wrong the rasta ones are a cool idea, the just look alot different in real life, not the pics

Since this boot has moldable liners ... is there an easy way to do this at home?

I would definitely recommend NOT trying to this at home. Take them to a bootfitter that has an intuition oven. They are specially designed to distribute heat evenly. This is important because as the liner heats up, it expands. Then when you put it on, as it cools, it packs out in the shape of your foot for a perfect fit. Heating it at home may lead to inconsistencies in the fit. Also, it is really hard to fit them perfectly, even by the very experienced bootfitters. So once again, I would highly recommend NOT doing them at home.

bring them to a boot fitter, and get them dialed. allow people to-do what they get paid to-do.

Don't even mess with heating them up. Just break them in by skiing in them, you'll get a much tighter fit.

Love these things

By: Backcountry.com Employee

I have had zero issues with these, I suggest trying them on at a shop real quick and if you don't have any painful pressure points then these things will mold awesome to your feet! I have rode these in the park, all mountain, and pow and they have been awesome. All I do is switch out the tongues for park and pow and I'm ready to go.
