DAKINE High Roller Snowboard Bag - 2007

As the most pimped-out snowboard bag in the DAKINE line, the High Roller should be the choice for riders who travel often to ride at new destinations. In addition to a fully padded snowboard compartment, the DAKNIE DAKINE High Roller Snowboard Bag includes three top pockets to hold your boots, goggles, and other accessories. It also includes an internal tool pocket for last-minute adjustments to your bindings. Urethane wheels help you roll through the airport, and two end handles let you and your friend carry this bag when the terrain gets too rough.

Bottom Line: Give your snowboard the plush ride it deserves with the DAKINE High Roller Snowboard Bag.

too big and floppy

By:
June 17, 2009

I ordered this last minute to haul my gear for an overseas trip and unfortunately had to make do with it. The bag is way big, a mounted snowboard plus boots, jacket, pants helmet, and other gear fit in the main compartments alone with room to spare. This means that a fully loaded bag is not only hard to lug around, but maxes out on airline weight limits. Also, my main complaint is that there is no internal support. The bag sags when lifted up at the end and rolled around, which means your board/skis bear all the weight, not good!

Serious Travel; Serious Luggage

By:
December 27, 2007

I think this is my third Dakine Board Bag. This one was a gift. I am a guide for a Ski/ Snowboard tour company called Downhill riders. My crew and I all use High Rollers, whether they are new flashy ones or old school bags from early 90's, they all die hard. When you travel as often as we do nothing else will substitute. The numerous pockets are a must for keeping gear organized, the wheels are sweet when your packing coolers, and other carry-ons and have hands full. I usually carry two complete set-ups in the bag; freeride and backcountry depending on conditions. There is more than enough room, and sometimes i will bring a friend's gear in my bag without a hassle.
If you are serious about riding, and you travel frequently on buses or with groups buy this! Did i mention you probably wont find it cheaper than here? Well i checked... And was happy how fast it showed up, even all the way up to Canada Eh?

Superb Rolling with the High Roller

By:
January 30, 2008

This bag (DAKINE High Roller Snowboard Bag) is superb. Used it on a trip from UK to Germany and back. The bag is the perfect size for all of my gear: board/bindings, boots, gloves, goggles, pants, etc... Plus it's so easy to roll around the airport, and seems really durable, too. You can't go wrong with it!

Nice bag, beware airlines

By:
March 11, 2008

Hello. I recently purchased this bag and it met all my expectations. Very well constructed and padded. I wear a size 8 boot and could get both of them in one boot compartment. Haven't gotten my girlfriend's boots and ski's yet to see if I can get it all in the bag, but I'm pretty sure I can.
A potential problem is airlines are starting to restrict checked baggage so a word of warning - check the airlines policy before buying flight tickets. As an example, US Air charges $80 for anything over 62", and will not take anything over 80". Other airlines vary so beware (I got the longer bag, think it's 76"). This could be a major problem if you're buying this bag specifically for airline travel.

Awesome bag!

The good thing is it holds a lot! The bad thing is it holds a lot!! You don't even need to bring any other luggage. The bag is beautifully designed having compartments for all your needs & still room to pack all your outer wear & clothing!
