I've had this little tuner for 3 seasons and it hasn't let me down. I have not had any of the durability issues that a few of the previous reviewers have experienced. I would recommend tuning your edges before waxing. It's amazing how many people don't tune their board first. It's not the best edge tuner but it does the trick.

First, mine broke after a few uses. The plastic snapped on half on one side, allowing the file to simply fall out. I kept it in my closet when not in use and did not carry it with me, so I am inclined to believe it was poor construction. Some marine epoxy later (amazing stuff) and it works again. I filled a fair amount of the ribbing with the epoxy to strengthen it against future breakage.

That said, it works great. Much easier and more precise than a plain file, much less expensive than a professional edge tool. My edges are pristine now with very little work.

I can't wholeheartedly recommend it because it broke so easily, but when it does work it works well.

well all i got to say is....its self explained its very cheap and very simple in my opinion its worth more then what it sells for so i think its a must....yea ok great it dont got alot of options but who cares figure it cheaper to sharpen ur own edges 2 times and BAM it paid for its self i mean come on its 9$$$ to do ur edges where im at and it takes less then 5 min so do ur self a favor and pay ur self then 9 bucks for 5 min of labor and then u can charge ur friend 5 bucks and let them know ur quicker and more convient then the local shop also CHEAPER!!!

Great little tool if you need a quick tune in a pinch. Durability has been an issue with me for many of dakine's products, and this one is no different. Holds up to light use, but shouldn't hold a center spot on your shop bench. True, if you don't have a great eye, this tool does make things easier than a plain file, but there are other products on the market that will serve you better.

great little tool, easy usage with it. Heads up if you use this after you wax, make sure to clean all the wax from your edges, it clogs the file up some. Other then that, great tool for the quick edge tune
