The DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag's full padding protects your precious snowboard while you travel. Smooth wheels make rolling between terminals, hotels, and resorts as easy as calling in sick on a powder day. Two large pockets in the Low Roller Snowboard Bag hold your boots and other gear. DAKINE included two end carry handles to make transport through check-in lines a cinch, and lockable zippers prevent curious fingers from rifling through your kit. The Red Shogun colorway is only available with us, so throw your board in this limited piece and roll into the storm.

the way to go

i also bought this bag for a trip to Steamboat CO (divebum, hope you enjoyed the pow out there as much as i did). it is padded and tarp lined, which is good because i saw how the baggage loaders chuck my stuff onto the plane. thanks guys...

all i needed was this bag and a backpack for carry on stuff for a week out there. bought a 165 and my short girl 147 board left extra room at the top so my helmet easily zipped into the top pouch. both boots both fit into the other pouch. jacket, pants, base layers, tshirts, cardigans, 1 pair of jeans, mittens, socks, AND bathroom bag all stowed away in the extra spaces in the bag/pouches.

weighed 40 pounds at check in aka i would have not made it to JFK if it did not have WHEELS! i also would have done well if it had backpack straps...

bag search ends here

i also bought this bag for a week long trip to Steamboat CO (divebum, hope you enjoyed the pow as much as i did). the padding and tarp lining was great because i saw how the bag got chucked onto the planes. liked the zipper locks too.

this bag is all you need if you are not a ridiculous over-packer. my boyfriend and i (147 and 159 boards, respectively) both had 165 bags and each of us fit everything - full kit, snow gear, street clothes and bathroom bag - with some room to spare. my bag weighed just over 40 pounds at check in aka wheels were SO necessary when dealing with the subway and airport. backpack straps would have worked too though...

so yeah, this bag really is the way to go.

Yes it will fit a 156cm board. However I would suggest sizing up if you are going to be carrying other gear inside, more boards, or bindings with the boards as well.-----------------------------------------yeah dude definitly size up, your board will be a tight squeeze and thats just not good with luggage...i think i can see why you asked that tho, becuase of the huge gap between sizes after 157, trust me a big bag is worth it, you wont have to stuff as much and its nice to have a snowboard bag that can fit a lot more than just a board in it

cool home for ur board

By:
December 29, 2008

sturdy and nicely padded, kept my board safe on a 10 hr flight. I got the 157 for my 153 board. Enough room to hold board, boots, bindings, helmet, jacket pants, etc. Zippers could be a bit tighter, i was afraid they might unzip if i didn't tie them together. love the look!

Good bag, but not wide enough...

By:
March 26, 2009

I purchased the 165cm, for my 162 board. The bag is great and does hold my 162 board, however I also have Burton Cartel Bindings (size L) and I can not zip the bag shut with the bindings on my board. The bag needed to be about 2 inches wider so the zippers can meet. Like I said it is a great bag that offers good padding, but it is annoying taking my bindings off everytime I go on a trip. Also one other problem I have had is that the separate section to hold your boots can easily get caught in the main zipper. Be careful not to get it caught.

depends, the 175 will be more room for additional items but if your going to travel on an airplane the 165 has less of a chance of getting charged the excess bag fee.

Great bag. Has it all and room to fit boots and lots more. Now with all the extra luggage charges on travel this will save you money. I am very impressed withthe quality and ease of use. Buy it you will not be dissapointed.

just the right size

Picked up the Woodland colored version at the end of the season, haven't had a chance to fly with it yet, but since I bought it I decided to test it out on my way to the Sundance resort. My Burton custom fit without a problem and my girlfriends board fit with her small binding still attached (most of the time the second board would have to go in with the binding removed, her bindings are strange). Padding seemed good, and the boot pockets are great. Still had room for gloves and jackets stuffed in, but definitely not enough space for this bag to replace a board bag and a duffel for a longer trip, which is fine by me. Originally bought a Burton Wheelie Board Case, but the thing was HUGE and would have cost $$ to check on a flight by the time I filled it. This Dakine on the other hand is about perfect, my GF and I can check our boards and some gear, and carry-on the rest. Only negative is the amount of locks needed to secure the boot pockets.

Spacious bag

By:
April 6, 2009

I bought the 165cm for my 156cm board. It fits with plenty of extra space in the main compartment. The padding seems sufficient, but I haven't taken it on a plane yet. The pockets fit my gloves, goggles, extra socks without a problem and can fit much more. I'm unable to fit my size 10 boots in them, but they will fit in the main compartment with my board if I position them correctly. The only thing I was expecting but didn't find was some sort of velcro strap or something to secure the board in the main compartment.

Great bag, perfect for travel!

By:
January 26, 2009

This bag has excellent padding and held a ton. It has two huge pockets, perfect for boots and the rolling wheels make it easy for travel. I recently traveled with it and was able to fit all my boarding necessities along with the rest of what I needed for my vacation, saving me money having to check a second bag. I ride a 148 and got the 157 bag, it fit perfect with a little extra room. If you want more room for packing, I'd say to get a longer one. I would have if I realized it is a great double as a suitcase!

great for skis too!

By:
February 4, 2009

I got the 157cm with wheels for my skis (156cm) for a recent trip from NY out to Aspen/Vail. Love love love the wheels, they so key in airport travel. Padding is solid, also fit my boots, poles and most of my ski clothes (especially since AA now charges to check even just ONE bag)! Highly recommended for skis as well.
