The DAKINE Cargo Pack's split-level design allows you to carry your wet boots in the tarp-lined compartment while your goggles, gloves, and beanies stay dry on the other side. Use the padded shoulder straps to easily carry this DAKINE pack to the airport check-in counter, then stow the straps so they won't get damaged on-route.

Bottom Line: Because wet gear and dry gear don't play well together.

Great for Carry-on

I got this pack a week before I left for my annual snowboarding trip and it is awesome! I was able to put my snowboard boots, pants, helmet, goggles, plus all my other stuff to carry on a plane like books, camera etc. It is the perfect size for a carry-on. The actual deminsions of the pack are bigger than the max allowed carry-on but you have to remember its a backpack so it will work fine.

Great Pack

i just bought this bag for me and one for my wife. This bag is a great size to carry on a plane or to throw in the back of your trunk for a weekend ski trip. It fits my boots (size 29.5), ski pants, helmet, goggles, gloves and has plenty of room to spare. The separate compartments keep your gear dry and your boots contained. The stow away backpack straps makes it perfect if you want to check at the airport.

The only downside is that their are no compression straps on the inside or outside to hold your boots in place or to contract the bag so it isn't so bulky.

All and all I am very happy and I would definitely recommend this bag as a must have for a gear head.

I bought the pack for my 17 year old son to use on his 1st "fly to somewhere" ski vacation. With the baggage fees now, it was especially useful because he got everything in it and was able to use it as a carry-on.
