DAKINE Baker Backpack - 1000cu in - 2008

When the resort gets tracked out, strap your snowboard to the DAKINE Baker Pack and go hike to some epic lines. DAKINE designed this backpack with a vertical board carry and a snow tool/shovel pocket to tailor it for backcountry snowboarding. So throw a helmet and your layers into the 1000 cubic inch interior and slog your way to the freshest snow on the mountain. An insulated sleeve keeps the water flowing from your hydration reservoir (not included), and fleece-lined pockets stash your goggles and sunglasses while you hike.

Bottom Line: The resort beat up? Find your own lines.

Best snowboard pack out there!

By:
June 5, 2009

This pack does everything I need it to and has surpassed my expectations! It is very durable and holds plenty for any day event. The zippers are super durable and will last for much longer than a normal pack. The fleece pocket is perfect for protecting your goggles or sunglasses. So pack up your gear and find some powder!!! Enjoy the boarding

Perfect for all but heli trips.

By:
December 12, 2008

This has room for a shovel, snow probe, hydration pack, and lunch/snacks. Basically great for out of bounds or backcountry building a booter, in bounds for those people who like to eat on the run so they don't waste any of that precious boarding time, or people who have sketchy equipment that want to take back up hardware. Plus the pack is extremely comfortable, and looks great. Cyan Chop Shop. :-)

As for how much space is left over well can anyone still help me with that answer. thanksFor example can 2 or 3 laptops fit inside? I know it's a small bag, but i just wanna get an idea of what amount of space the bag has.you can fit about 2 laptops inside! you can try and fit 3! but 2 sounds good.

By:
January 2, 2009

I'm all about what you pay for is what you get! And i definitely got what i paid for! I purchased the red shotgun splatter one and let me tell you i didn't expect to have so much! There is room for everything! Goggles, Sunglasses(which i wont recommend unless you try and fit the case in there as well), a camelback with a slot to slide your tube in!, a shovel, food, drinks etc! whatever you can think of! it fit perfectly all snug and im all about stylin while riding and i definitely had some stare downs because the bag was so damn sexy! Dakine always makes great products!

nope, just nylon, however it does have some flexible 1/4" or so foam sewn into the back, kind of like the back of a laptop backpack. Probably there to insulate your back from the hydration pack, or lightly protect your back during a nasty wipe out.

Steller for Boarding and More

By:
December 29, 2008

Took this bag out on the mountain a week ago and loved the comfortably and carrying capacity wearing the bag the whole day. I thought it would be a problem carrying the bag on the lifts all day but it really wasn't that inconvenient. Liked how the straps to vertically carry the board are reinforced. The bag comes in handy when you fit in it and eat it on the go. Also lets me get all my gear out of my pockets and a spare pair of gloves. A ton of pockets in the bag make it easier to split my gear. Off the mountain I like how much it can carry. Perfect for those times when you want to take some cloths with you but don't want a whole suitcase. Liked how the straps to vertically carry the board are reinforced.

Depends on how much you fall. If never, then your stuff will probably stay dry. But really, I don't even think it has waterproof zippers. Not many backpacks do, save very high end. If you want your stuff to stay dry either wrap it in a garbage bag or plan on using waterproofing spray regularly.

Awesome bag, comes in great colors. It could be a bit more reinforced where I carry my skis on the front but it is a solid bag that has a lot of pockets and works for a lot of use.

Rather. Reasonably. Fairly. Acceptably. Take your pick of vague, meaningless adverbs. Or you could actually look at the page, where it says THREE times that it is 1000 cubic inches (16 L).Dimensions: 20 x 11.5 x 5"
