In addition to their warmth and weather protection, the Titan Mittens have a stowable chamois goggle wipe to help keep your vision clear. DAKINE also included a removable stretch fleece liner to increase warmth on days where the mercury lags at the bottom of the lodge thermometer.

hot mitts

By:
January 10, 2007

these are super toasty. the liners are mittens too, so they keep your hands extra warm on those really cold days. they are a bit bulky however, and it doesn't work too well if you like your coat to go over your mitts. all in all, they work great.

Everything you could want

By:
April 27, 2007

I just got back from a week in Jackson Hole and these mittens were awesome. They're incredibly warm with the liners in, comfortable in 40 degree weather with the liners out. Goggle wipe, nose wipe, goggle scraper, vents/pockets on backs and wrist straps, they've got everything. I couldn't ask for a better mitten.

Durable Material, Tons of features, Warm & Dry

By:
March 25, 2009

These mittens are made of a heavy duty material, bomber design! Cool features, including a goggle squeegee/scraper on one thumb. Come with mitten liners for sub zero days too. Have cords to keep them hanging from your wrist when not on and a cinch to seal it up with the jacket. Everything you need and durable!

yeah, i was wondering, too. I need women's. it matters because the sizing chart is different for men's and women's. i do my filtering based on women's mittens, but men's mittens show up in the results, too. so, sometimes you just have no way of knowing.

Light and warm

By:
March 17, 2009

These mittens are so light and warm, it's not even funny. I also love the gauntlet aspect of it since I usually put them above my jacket.
Liners are mittens too but haven't used them yet since the temps were in the high 30s.

Recommended

I'm a mitten user, hands get sweaty and then cold without proper gear. These mittens are comfortable, seem to breathe some, liners are really nice with the mitts or alone, making it a good value. I like the gauntlet, makes them easy to pull on over cuffs. They don't always dry overnight without mitten dryer, but I like them enough I will get another pair for those rare times they don't dry.

Real Mittens

By:
February 25, 2009

These are real mittens! That is so hard to find. The liners are mittens too. I bought a pair for my son for Christmas, and decided I needed a pair too. I will probably eventually be buying them for other family members too.

Best mittens I've ever owned

By:
January 26, 2009

I made the switch just before the season from another pair of Dakine gloves to these, and what a great decision that was. They've kept my hands incredibly warm in all kinds of cold/windy weather, and I haven't even needed the liners.

I highly recommend them.

Snowboarding Mittens

By:
January 9, 2008

These mittens are GREAT! I have used them in temperatures in the mid-30's and 1 day in the mid-20's. I used them without the liners and my hands were sweating. I am new to snowboarding so I have fallen a lot and they are waterproof.

These mittens rock!

By:
March 25, 2008

These mittens are the best! The liners that come with keep your hands super warm alone on a nicer day and with the mittens on colder days. My hands are always cold, but not in these! Love them!

These Mitts are amazing!! I never were the inserts, unless just as a glove themselves. These gloves keep you warm all day long. I have worn them both snowboarding and winter kayaking and they stayed dry and warm all day. BUY THEM

it's a gauntlet

Don't buy a gauntlet glove or mitt if you want to wrap your coat cuffs around them. They're made to wrap up your coat.

DAKINE Titan Mittens

By: Backcountry.com Employee
December 15, 2008

Wow... you talk about warm. If the mittens aren't warm enough (which I am sure they will be), the liners that come with it will definitely help you out. I feel like a baller wearing these. Cold hands... be gone! Never buy hand heaters again. The construction on these are great... while it's difficult to get your coat over these mittens, have no worries because the snow ain't getting in.
