Crumpler Brazillion Dollar Home Photo/Laptop Bag - 976cu in
If your photo equipment was a fleet of alien spacecrafts, Crumpler's Brazillion Dollar Photo/Laptop Bag would be its mothership. This bag organizes and protects everything from lenses to CF cards to power cords to a 17in MacBook Pro. This photo bag's external pockets include two accessory pockets and one hook-and-loop pocket with a 24-slot CF card organizer. Inside the case, you'll find four accessory pockets, three mesh speedlight pockets, two cell pockets, and a large document/reflector pocket. Crumpler also souped up the Brazillion Dollar Home Bag with four accessory loops, two tripod/stand straps, 22 configurable brushed nylon inserts, a laptop slot, and a detachable raincover. Carry this mother of all photo bags over the shoulder, as a backpack with waist-belt, or secured to rolling gear handles.
Bottom Line: The Crumpler Brazillion Dollar Home Photo/Laptop Bag is the ultimate transport for your camera, laptop, and all the gadgets you could possibly need in the field.
I love and hate Crumpler bags. They're we'll made and nicely laid out, but they had no room. I have a back pack with camera storage in the bottom and bought a Brazillon dollar bag since I always need to travel with a 17 inch laptop and would like to carry my Canon 5D MkII and four lenses with me. Canon does make fat lenses and big lens hoods, and they will fit in the bag. However they are VERY hard to get out (VERY TIGHT FIT). The 17 inch laptop fits, but you can hardly squeeze a few papers or file folder with it. Basically with one small flash, laptop, camera and lenses I am lucky to fit a paperback book in this bag. If it had 15-20% extra room so that the lenses and camera could be accessed it would be wonderful. It WILL fit in an airplane overhead, but not under the seat. It won't hold a pair of headphones so I had to strap them to the outside of the bag. It's very heavy and absolutely not something that you can carry around and shoot from. I end up having to carry a small backpack in my checked luggage for that.

My old Leicas would have fit, but my Canon 5D with four lenses means you need a crow bar to get them out. Like ever Crumpler bag I have, they are incredibly well made, but seem to have no concept that they need a little expandability. They make everything VERY tight. Things fit exactly or not at all.
I will have to say that I love this bag and it fits my 17" laptop, 2 camera and a lot of equipment. The only problem is it's really heavy and to take this around town or on a trip it's too much including weigh and size. It does fit in the overhead on a plane and under the seat if you were wondering. I will be using this bag for travel to a job where I don't have to carry it a great deal. When I shoot golf tournaments this bag is the best, it sits on the cart and holds all I need. My thought was to get a laptop bag and a smaller crumpler bag (as a alternative) for trips/around town such as the 7 million dollar bag. I wouldn't give this large bag up for anything. I only gave it 4 stars because I have to have help to carry this bag if having to hold it for long periods of time. I'm 5' 8" and fit but it hurts my shoulder so my son has to help...or this is a sign I need to work out more!!!
The bag is extremely well designed in terms of compartments and pockets, etc, with excellent materials Crumpler is known for, and on top of it, it looks cool, but... the bag is very heavy - empty. I could not figure out if if it was just the materials the dividers are made of or what, but just too heavy to be practical. I settled for two smaller Crumpler bags to distribute the load when I do need to carry everything, though I imagine most time the 6 Billion Dollar Home will do.
I bought this bag to replace my old messenger-style camera bag that is slowly falling apart. I use it specifically for hauling large amount of gears to-and-fro different locations and for international travels. For these purposes, this bag is brilliant and I love it. My only complaint is the design of the laptop compartment. I wish it can be accessed from the exterior of the bag without having to open the main compartment every time. Furthermore, the compartment is not wide enough (measuring15" exactly) to accommodate the new unibody 17" MacBook Pro; the 15" model on the other hand fits nicely. If you are looking for a bag for everyday use, this bag might also be a bit too big and heavy. Nevertheless, the bag is extremely well-made and I expect I will be using it for many years to come.
