Crispi Antartic Ski Boot - Men's - 2008

Just because you love old school leather tele boots doesn’t mean you should have to put up with stinky used ones from the thrift store (or cling on to your ratty old ones for fear of leather-boot extinction). Crispi made the Men’s Antarctic Ski Boots with comfortable leather for light Nordic touring. Thinsulate linings warms your feet, Cambrelle makes sure the insides of your boots dry quickly should your feet work up a bit of a sweat, and water-repellent outer leather helps fend off moisture. Vibram soles make it easy to walk, and the bottoms are compatible with three-pin and telemark bindings.

Bottom Line: New old school.

I have a very wide foot, and I am hoping that these boots will work for me. Do these boots have a narrow fit, or a wide fit?

Nice, nice, old school boots. Unlike plastic boots they are fine to walk in. I am skiing Karhu 10th Mountains with Voile 3-pin cable bindings. Nice in ice and crust. Nice floatation in soft snow.

You can't really buy skis and bindings based on boots. That's like buying pants and a shirt based on socks. Figure out what kind of skiing you want to do and then buy gear for it.

Excellent Boots

We do a lot of Back Country and urban park type skiing, where we basically create all of our own trails and never ski on the same tracks twice. We need the stability and comfort of Italian made boots as we spend hundreds of hours a year skiing and these are the boots that hold up to the conditions and provide the better connection to the ski using 75mm bindings.

I have owned comparable boots for over 25 years, which have been resoled many times as we were unable to find quality Italian made boots in the states. We are glad to find that you folks offer this line and will be ordering more boots for some of our friends shortly. We certainly hope you continue to carry this line a look forward to placing orders in the future.

nice leather

I love skiing the backcountry in leather. With the leather boot becoming extinct I was glad to find this one. I've used the boots to ski up and down mountains with kick and glide in between. I've been very satisfied with the boots. A word of caution, they fit a little long and hope the blister on the back of my heel heals soon.

Some friends of mine have tried mounting tele bindings on snow blades. I hear it was fun. Not quite sure why you'd want to except as a novelty...
